The house was clean and tidy. It also had some nice views of the lake.

The parking was very steep and we couldn’t drive up our van.

Nice scenery

The heating is poor. We were chilling at night and in the early morning.

"Good location and great views. Plenty of space for 5 adults. Very clean and tidy and good comms from the owners."

7.0

Great views, very functional, clean, easy to get to.

The downstairs bedroom was quite cold - an electric blanket would’ve helped.

Great location

Many of the kitchen utensils, dishes & cutlery was dirty. We weren’t notified about construction next door. Excavating & jack hammering started early & vibrated throughout the entire house. We would not have stayed here had we known this. It should be communicated, when we emailed the property managers about this they ignored our request for some sort of compensation.

"Might as well not have parking"

3.0

The View, the heated floor in the bathrooms

The steep driveway damaged our vehicle. If your vehicle's clearance is less than a large SUV you basically cannot use it. The property advertises parking but this is not true for a lot of customers, you are better off parking on street. After we damaged our vehicle, I inspected the driveway and you can clearly see markings on the driveway that indicate that car side panels, tow hitches have hit the driveway lip. It was unfortunate that I couldn't see this before coming in as I didn't expect it to be problematic. The only mention the listing had was that "note the driveway is steep", not "note the driveway is steep and multiple customers have damaged their vehicles on our driveway" which there is concrete evidence for (heh). A few other things: (1) Some towels were dirty (the ones folded on the bed had leaves on them), (2) the heating in the bottom bedroom was severely inadequate and it felt cold all the way, (3) the narrow hallway that you can't use to bring your luggage in is just inconvenient, (4) the thing with the lock should not be the responsibility of the customer, you don't make it our problem, get a better lock, (5) the adjacent properties were severely untidy (bins scattered), construction, etc.

"beautiful property"

8.0

amazing property with beautiful views. well maintained. sufficient heating which was great because Queenstown can be a bit chilly.

parking area is very steep - can be tricky to get your car out if you have a large one water - there were two showers but if one person is showering already, then the other shower will not have hot water + the water pressure is very low. it's also affected by washing machine / tap / dishwasher so suggest you don't run any other appliances when you want to shower

"Incredibly mid."

3.0

The view, the ease of access with the door code, underfloor heating.

Pretty disappointed that we booked this place specifically for the log burner to have a cosy holiday. It was damaged and deemed dangerous due to a previous guest. There was no communication that the fire place was damaged so we had no opportunity to seek another stay. This was unprofessional and incredibly frustrating. Not only this, there were no bedside lamps in the kitchen-level bedroom. The master lounge window had been covered over with a giant cupboard, completely redundant because there was a cupboard already built in. This blocked light making it dingy. The showers were atrocious. If water was running in any other part of the house, the upstairs shower didn't run at all. When the other water was turned off, it was a mere dribble. The kitchen table was stained and severely marked, covered over with a flimsy, becoming-thread bare table cloth. The nook seats were also covered in stains. The laundry curtains had mould, too. The fire place was the last straw and it took me calling multiple numbers to get an answer, which ended up being the explanation that it was damaged and dangerous. How is that my problem? This lack of communication really sucked and soured the holiday.
