The Stables: Detached Cottage with Private Garden & Hot Tub

Secure enclosed garden for the dogs with easy to use hot tub, very comfortable cottage and everything was very clean

Close to where we wanted to visit

Dated. Some pans hadn’t been washed properly. Garden could do with some attention. Plastic grass looks awful. Loose slab on edge of patio where you step down to steps. I hadn’t been to St Austell for a long time and hadn’t realised how down on its luck it was. So sad.

Location was central for exploring

The cottage needs a lot of TLC , for example the side gate which opened onto the road needs replacing as does some unsafe paving slabs, the sealed units in the patio door need replacing , and the cleaner needs replacing! I'm

Perfect size property for a long weekend away. Loved the hot tub and BBQ. Nice quiet area apart from a few trains going through every other hour or so. Not too far from the bus station, so you can get the bus into Charlstown. The bus only took 10 minutes to get to Charlstown, which is great! Loved the seating outside and very thankful for the umbrella when it was hot all weekend! The staff were so friendly and answered any questions I emailed over. We have already reserved this place for the same time next year! Really happy with it. Thank you Margaret and Rianne.

The sofa was a little bit uncomfortable and the freezer was quite small, it would be hard to fit ice as such in the freezer. There was a slab outside which was lose and the pepper ginder was broken. Those were the only things we wanted to add to this section as we were really happy with everything else!

convenient for the station, had everything I needed. Bathroom a little small, but not a major issue!

Air freshener overuse

Beautiful small but cosy cottage. Very clean and warm on our arrival. Great location to get out and about visiting various locations in Cornwall.

Needs a little TLC in some places

Perfect for our couple of nights stay. Close to town and all amenities which was great. Easy check in

Little tricky to find to park the car but easy enough to just use the car park in town instead

- Lovely outside area and the hot tub was so much better than expected! - Access to WiFi and TV where we could watch Netflix etc. - The kitchen facilities are great. The freezer was smaller than anticipated, so I would recommend not to bring too much that needs freezing.

- My partner didn't mind the bed too much. However I found the bed very hard and I started getting back pain from the first night which still hasn't healed. I am an active person in their early 20s so would not expect this. This is the only thing that would stop me staying here again.
