The Coach House at Dovedale Manor

It was clean and modern. It had a huge kitchen, living and dining space. The meadows in front of the property made a beautiful view and sight.

The rooms were warm and did not cool down enough. They did not have any windows to open and let the air in. The fans provided were not enough during the early evening heat.

Great location, very spacious, clean and provided all essential facilities plus more. Great views, ample parking. Loved the cute quirky touches bringing the outdoors indoors. Games room and access to the to was most welcome. The staff were super helpful as we needed to change our check in and out times. And the recommendations of nearby places was helpful

Very minor - The stove only used its particular pots and pans as it was electric so we couldn’t use our own. And, the sinks were quite small.

Spacious accomodation with comfy beds, good kitchen facilities, great lounge and dining space. Fab location!

Everything was spot on

Was great to get away with the girls and having bathrooms attached to some of the rooms was good.

It was more like dorms, the layout of the kitchen was strange and the person in the small bedroom had to go into another bedroom to use the toilet which felt weird. I tjink it was missing a main bathroom. Unfortunately none of the 9 or us would stay again

The space was fantastic. The group had a wonderful time. It was great that each bedroom had its own en suite bathroom. Location was good too on main road.

It isn't a dislike but the darts were all broken and no chalk for the board which was a shame. It would also be useful to supply shampoo and conditioner/gel in the bathrooms. This is usually supplied so caught most of us out. The other thing was lack of hairdryers too.

Great living room for our family of 13, and all bedrooms en-suite which was very nice. Plenty of outdoor space, and facilities good.

We stayed in the smaller of the two properties at Dovedale Manor but for us it was an ample size. There was four of us, me, my mum and my two nephews. We each had a room. Three of which had two or three single beds. Very nicely furnished with simple, contemporary modern furnishings. The property seemed geared up for large groups to come and stay. Throughout our stay, we has the entire manor to ourselves. There was everything there that we needed and we did have a couple of nights where we stayed in and made food. The view over the field was really nice with a mixture of cows and sheep populating it. The outside space is really generous and meant we could play games. Although we were very close to a main road, it was very peaceful. The property is really well located to get to everything in the Peak District.

It would have been good if it was nearer the local pub. We did walk to it and the roads we quiet enough for us to do so. We weren’t brave enough to take the public footpath through a field of cows. It would have been good to be left instructions for the oven. I think it was from IKEA and it wasn’t obvious what each symbol meant. I couldn’t find the manual online so a bit of guess work was needed. The only other really minor point was the doors are really heavy. My youngest nephew found it a struggle to open on his own so we ended up propping open with a chair.

Great location, lots of space, great family property

The only complaint was not having a double bed for couple to sleep together

Beautifully renovated period property with stunning views over fields with sheep. Modern, cosy decor inside with all the kitchen equipment you could possibly need. Lovely that they left little extras like coffee pods and dishwasher tablets. Well worth 20 mins drive to Alton Towers to stay in such a great house in a beautiful setting
