The Alps Apartment

The apartment was warm. The bottle of wine on arrival.

The biggest problem was that after we made the booking on booking.com, the management messaged to say we needed to enter payment details on a separate site and provide pictures of ourselves and our credit card and threatened to cancel the booking/not send check in information if this was not done. There was black hair all through the carpet which stuck to our clothes when we sat on the floor to play with our child. I also found what seem to be public hairs in my child's bed. The large bed was actually 2 small beds sheeted together which was not as comfortable. I asked for more details ahead of time about what was included in the kitchen as we were self catering and was assured the kitchen was "fully equipped" but there were no herbs or spices, oven mitts, large pots, measuring cups or spoons and they did not mention that the coffee machine was a pod type and they did not provide enough pods for our stay. The booking site advertised free airport transfers but only took us to the accommodation and not back to the airport and when I asked about the return journey management said they had no idea what this was about and took no accountability. They advertised "Netflix" as an amenity and when we arrived learned that "you must provide your own subscription"

Good location, walkable to the town centre. Clean and had all appliances/ heating that we needed. Loved the heated floors, heated towel rails and fireplace.

The only minor problem was the vacuum wouldn’t suck anything up? Otherwise it was great

Clean, spacious well kept.

Studio bed very uncomfortable and not enough bedding, it was very cold. Spare single bed for my 7 year old had no sheets or blankets that fit it.

A fun nod to yesteryear with easy beach access. It’s a delightful little town. The staff were wonderful.

Cooking was limited.

It had the utilities you needed

All bedding duvets and sheets were very unclean. Back up duvets and blankets on shelves were also unclean with brown and yellow stains all over. The sofa bed was broken and not communicated to us beforehand. This resulted in my father hurting his back trying to sleep on it and the entire family having a terrible first night on unclean bedding. We got support the next day with new duvets and sheets however were not compensated fairly for half the stay that was lost and the discomfort and pain that my father had endured. We were promised compensation that kept decreasing in amount and after we settled on a number the excuse of exchange rates and miscalculation of additional fees was used to justify not receiving the promised small amount of compensation. This amount was not even 1/3 of what we paid whist half of the stay was affected and the complete stay affected for my father. Very disappointed and a shame as the location is nice and meeting one of the staff members seemed lovely but overall very disappointed and unfairly compensated for the experience.

Spacious, clean, good view

No air conditioning. Upstairs gets quite hot. Staff accidentally took our car keys and waited 12 hours to return them.

Good size for a large family- 2 bathrooms and good bedroom space. Bedding was soft and cozy.

So many stairs!!!! Not bad walk into town, but what a climb to get back up to the accommodation. Fine (with effort) for us adults, but tough with little kids.

It was a bit chilly when we came in and the inverter heater took awhile to kind of heat up the room.Good thing the comforter was warm enough even if we did not turn on the electric blanket.

+Spacious space 3floors! 3 bedrooms (2 bedrooms + 1 studio room with ensuite and own living room), 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets, laundry, kitchen, and living room. +clean and modern +heating bathroom floor! +enough toiletries and cleaning products : most holiday homes only provide starter packs. But the alps apartment provided enough supplies for our whole 8 days stay for 7ppl.

-some facilities are broken/needed attention : the dryer was broken/noisy - staff quickly responded to this matter, though it couldn't be replaced during our stay, so we had no dryer. The dishwasher was a bit old model and cant clean properly, so we needed to prewash our dishes before putting them in the washer. The vacuum couldn't vacuum anything. -location is close to town, but*** it is uphill*** and there are no groceries nearby, so a bit of a walk or a taxi is needed if you have no car and buy lots of groceries.
