It was a lovely cottage and wonderful hosts who left bread, milk and mince pies for us and decorated the cottage with Christmas lights.

The WiFi wasn't great, but that's not the fault of the owners!

Lovely, quiet and rural location. Beautifully decorated and furnished. Extremely clean and very well equipped. Welcome pack was very nice and hosts were friendly and gave some helpful tips of where to visit.

We were met with a home baked loaf and jam in the property on arrival which was a lovely touch and delicious. The kitchen was well equipped and made staying in a few nights possible as it was cosy and felt like a home not a property.

The only thing we had a slight issue with was the very low bed. It was very comfortable once in and it was a beautiful wrought iron frame, but very low to the ground, which made it difficult for me to get up from. It was a minor point but the only issue.

Pretty setting, sweet garden with loads of birds, privacy, heating, parking, quiet & peaceful. Also loved the hot & powerful shower. Exceptional cleanliness. Hosts were very friendly & available if required, but still allowed us our privacy. Much appreciated welcome pack, incl fresh bread.

For us, and for our main reason for staying (visiting Devon family), it was too rural & too far from the A38. But obviously this remote location would suit many visitors. Garden wasn't fully enclosed (from a dog safety point of view). Bed was - for us personally - too low & too soft.

It was very well equipped & clean. Beautiful garden & quiet. There was a variety of board games, big fluffy bath towels, shampoo etc in the bathroom. On arrival we had fresh bread, milk, eggs, butter & jam.

The bed was very low which made it difficult to get in & out & the mattress although had foam on it was very uncomfortable & I came away with an aching back. Don’t think I could do a week on it.

The host met us on arrival and provided the essentials such as milk and even freshly baked bread which was a lovely thing to do. The location was right where we wanted to be so as to have outings and see friends.

We found that there was just foam on the box of the double bed and not a mattress which we thought a little odd and this made the bed very low to get in and out of. There were some panel pins that were sticking out of the beading on the wardrobe door which we put some selotape over so as not to scratch our arms getting around the bed which was a tight squeeze. There was no chest of drawers, dressing table with a mirror so had to move the mirror from the bathroom into the lounge next to the window. Whilst there was a mirror on the wardrobe, was difficult to set out make-up and have good light to see to apply make-up. The sofa's too were very low. As lovely as the cottage was in general and it's location being 80 this was a little tricky. Advised the host to have a convex mirror so as to see oncoming traffic when leaving the driveway as is on a blind bend.

Garden was not secure for our dog. Bed was very low and mattress very soft. Communicating door to owners exactly opposite the sofa had an open keyhole which we covered as felt uncomfortable. WiFi very poor- no satellite or cable to as described in property details .

Lovely and clean. Really comfortable and had everything you need for a home away from home stay. Loved the outside space, table and chairs to sit and watch the birds. Great host and loved the welcome gifts. Off road parking right next to the property.

It was brilliantly clean and well equipped and in a location that was perfect for us. Hosts were responsive and friendly.
