"Beautiful island, but very moldy smell in apartment - cannot recommend stay"

First the good things: our guest host Veronika was great. We felt very welcomed by her friendliness and the little surprises in the fridge. Also this village is a great start to the most beautiful hiking trails on the island.

Unfortunately the property (we stayed in the ground floor apartment) has a huge humidity problem. There is a strong moldy smell, which is even worse in the bathroom that has no ventilation at all. This issue is known to the property because there is a dehumidifier(which was full after 2 days and 1/3 full after again 24h) in the apartment and we were advised to leave the air conditioning on „dry mode“. This extreme moldy smell made it impossible to feel comfortable in this apartment, therefore we checked out one day earlier as planned. In my opinion, this flat should not be rented at all due to the health issues that comes with mold. The owner of the property- unlike Veronika- is not very responsive, even with important questions about payment. Not a quite pleasant experience:(
