Kaltech House - Lake Tekapo

Excellent location, everything was new and clean, the view on the deck was superb! I wish we'd stayed here longer. There are full kitchen facilities to cook but also many restaurants just across the road. The fireplace kept us warm and cosy.

In the room upstairs, it gets cold at night as there isn't a heatpump. Would help to add a heatpump there. There are also no hooks to hang up coats and jackets in any of the the rooms or at the stairs foyer. We had to drape our jackets all over the place (it's wintertime so yes a lot of jackets and layers). Oh yes, the extractor fan in the toilet on the second floor (right atop the stairs) is wired in reverse so it doesn't blow the air out but would suck air into the house :)

Rrally nice place. Nice scenery nice location. Everything is worth for the price

Loved the amenities and the location was fantastic. Nice view of the lake also.

Decor was a bit dated.

Excellent location - and great to have such a good quality house that it is pet friendly
