The Folly

Great location

Shower was either hot or cold

We absolutely loved our stay at The Folly and that was in early March with a lot of rain! The space is lovely! Comfortable bed and plenty of blankets to keep us warm. The kitchen had everything we might need, including bits and pieces that others might have left behind which is always helpful when doing a short stay. There were also biscuits in a tin, plenty of coffee and tea and everything for a good breakfast. In fact, we managed two breakfasts out of the generous supplies. The decking is very cleverly laid out, giving us a mud free space to walk around in and the view is gorgeous. During the rainy times, we could actually sit on the lovely armchairs by the glass doors which felt cosy and peaceful. So plenty of natural light! On the one sunny morning we had, it was wonderful to sit at the edge of the decking for breakfast! The hot tub was very nice and in a nice spot out of the wind. They even had an umbrella stand which worked perfectly for us to put our umbrella over the hot tub in the rain. It's a basic inflatable type, but worked perfectly, and the water kept to the hot temperature quite well. We are looking forward to a return visit!

We liked everything, just have a couple of points others might need to be aware of as apparently the Booking website limits the details owners can give: The hot tub is charged separately - in addition to the basic cost advertised on Booking. It is mentioned somewhere in the small print on the web page, but you might miss it. On the positive side, this means you only pay for it if/when you want it and we still found it great value. Breakfast shows as 'included' on the website, but actually it is only for the first day. As mentioned above, we found it generous enough to stretch for two (lovely loaf of bread, had the bacon one day, the eggs the next, jam and cereals also available) - and again the whole stay still very good value.

The shower wasn’t powerful enough for us Even though it mentions about the walking to the folly is muddy if it was an older couple I would imagine that would be very difficult

Beautiful location, peaceful, all of the facilities needed for a relaxing stay. The hot-tub rounded things off well. We have visited several times before and we will be back in the future.

Had a lovely stay at the folly. View is really amazing and lovely touches with hot tub etc. Hosts were great as we had a slight issue with hot tub but it was quickly resolved. Would recommend and would stay again :)

We loved our stay at The Folly. It is a very relaxing and calm place. The views are incredible, and even better than the pictures. The space was very well equipped, it had everything we needed. The bed and pillows were really comfortable.

The place is like heaven on earth! The view and the location is perfect! It's just a shame that the neighbours dont like the visitors :(
