It was a beautiful spot in nature surrounded by incredible views!! The host was so so helpful and friendly!!

The host arrived quickly after being notified about our arrival on site.

Not flexible with early check-in. Payment in cash only. We had to pay half of the amount one time and the rest the day after which caused a confusion on the hots side and created an uncomfortable situation for us as guests.

The cabin was quite beautiful with tatami mats.

The main issue was access to the property. We had emailed (as per instructions from Booking.com) our arrival time. When we arrived the cabin was locked and no one there. We tried calling the phone number listed, but it didn't work from our international mobile phone. We tried emailing again to say we'd arrived, but no answer. Only when we asked a Japanese friend to call the phone number did we get a response. A guy turned up and eventually we got a key. A couple of other issues: there is absolutely no cooking oil or soy sauce or anything at all provided, this could easily be provided and would make a big difference; there weren't any sheets - just some strange synthetic bed and pillow covers, which was very unpleasant, and the shower was in an external building, eventhough there were 2 toilets in the cabin (strange). The location looked great on the internet - however there is a train line very close by and many trucks pass along the highway nearby - this makes it very noisy at night and we were woken up repeatedly.

Nice cabin in the woods. Cooking facilities are good so you can be self-sufficient. Staff turned up within minutes of our arrival. Lovely river a 2 min walk from the cabin.

Shower is not in the building - have to walk to the next building over. The train line is only about 200m away across the river and is so noisy late at night and early in the morning. Really interrupted sleep. Not a lot of shops around so make sure you take everything you need to be off grid for a few days. No TV or wifi (kind of to be expected) so take something to keep you occupied. There are 2 cabins on the property.
