Cass Crib - Lake Tekapo

Great views, quiet, lovely place

We LOVED our stay at Cass Crib and on reflection wish we had stayed a night or 2 longer! It was so cosy and warm on arrival (and incredibly clean and tidy) just like staying at a friend's new holiday house, a welcome relief from stark hotel and motel rooms. The perfect balance of cosy one bedroom romantic weekend cottage vibes, but plenty roomy enough to make some some breakfast in the kitchen, unpack bags, do some laundry, etc in separate rooms and not feel cramped (a real bathroom and shower, bless up!) The court, although looks residential, was very quiet and peaceful at all times of dayand night, and surprisingly private with the huge lounge and dining windows looking away over the frosty empty blocks with bunny rabbits hopping around below the snow topped mountains. Lovely morning walk to the historical church, and just 20 mins walk to the centre of town (make sure you go to the Blue Lake Eatery!) I have recommended Cass Crib to anyone coming to the south island and hope to come back again.

The hearing was excellent with the log burner adding great ambience to the property and kept us warm in the cold weather

The property has amazing views and you feel like you are in a private sanctuary. The house has everything you need for a lovely stay!
