"We all enjoyed are stay , Ross on Wye was a nice town and nice architecture and quirky shops and plenty of restaurants a"

It was an excellent old property with lots interesting features and en suite in two bedrooms and tastefully decorated throughout and very handy for shops and restaurants etc

The windows being from a older house were a bit drafty in some of the rooms which was understandable

"Great location but needs adaptation for a comfortable stay"

6.0

Perfectly located 4 bedroom house in centre of Ross on Wye just steps away from shops, bars and restaurants. Easy communication with owner who kindly facilitated early check in and late check out. Very Clean house all bed linen and towels provided the downstairs loo invaluable to 7 middle aged women.

The house is crammed full of furniture and over the top decorations and light fittings and even though the house and annex can accommodate 10 people there is no one room in the house where 10 people (not even 8) can be comfortably sat together to relax and socialise. The sofas are more suitable for an afternoon tea for 5 people and the glass table is certainly not designed for more than 5 people comfortably and the top moves around a lot rendering it quite unstable. There is no back door to the house nor outside space at all. No tea towels or anything to wash dishes or clean up. We had to request bin bags and dish washer tabs and buy kitchen roll cos none was available. The instructions in the house booklet are sparse and need to be padded out with much more info. The fridge is tiny far too small for 8 guests and the cooking pans and utensils also inadequate sadly . The annex which is on the ground floor under the main house smells so strongly of damp none of us could cope with breathing the air inside so no one stayed in there we only used the main house. There are no wardrobes in any of the bedroom just a handfull of coat hangers for guests clothes and nowhere to hang or store coats other than on the back of chairs

"Large house in the centre of Ross on Wye ideal for the many coffee shops and pubs in the town. Easy access to the river"

8.0

Great location in the heart of Ross on Wye. Good size bedrooms and comfortable beds. Nice kitchen diner for socialising. Very clean. Parking permits provided in the house.

The decor was a bit over the top for our taste and it was difficult to get around the house with so many decorative items. Eg chairs right in front of bedroom drawers, statues on the stairs. Top right bedroom en-suite shower needs a mat as it’s slippery and sloped. Some of the many lamps need new bulbs. Would have been useful to know about parking permits in advance.
