Drougas' Windmill

Le lieu tout à fait pittoresque avec une vue à couper le souffle sur 360 degrés. Lever et coucher de soleil visible du site. Gros coup de cœur.Toutes les belles attentions des propriétaires tel que confiture maison, pâtisserie typique faite maison, bouteille de vin, bière, coca et bouteille d’eau au réfrigérateur. Tout le nécessaire pour un petit-déjeûner sur place.

Todo. Ubicación espectacular (nosotros íbamos en coche pero creo que con bus es también fácil). Tranquilidad, ambiente rural con vistas a buena parte de la isla. Muy limpio y bien cuidado. Limpieza diaria. Obsequios para desayunar muy buenos y caseros. Tumbonas para relajarse, mesa en el patio con vistas... Todo perfecto

La única cosa a tener en cuenta es que no tiene lavadora, pero es un inconveniente menor pues muy cerca hay un servicio de lavadoras abierto 24h.

Enestående beliggenhed med 360 graders udsigt over smukke Milos. Møllen var smukt indrettet med respekt for dens historie og udearealerne var ligeledes over alt forventning med flere små sidepladser og den smukkeste udsigt og en lille pergola, hvor det var skønt at sidde om morgenen og spise morgenmad eller om aftenen med lys tændt eller stearinlys. Vi var der i hedebølge i Juli, men pga den vind, der næsten altid blæser oppe omkring møllen, var det intet problem, og ville man til stranden var det en kort køretur væk. Plaka, Milos’ hovedstad kunne man gå ind til på 10-12 min og nedenfor møllen er der en lille hyggelig by med et par virkelig gode restauranter. Perfekt sted til en afslappende ferie i smukke, smukke omgivelser. Maria var i øvrigt meget sød og hjælpsom og Margarita, der dagligt kom og gjorde rent, var ligeledes meget sød og hjælpsom. I øvrigt er der et meget velfungerende klima-anlæg, så under hedebølgen, hvor der heller ikke var meget vind, var det virkelig rart, men på dagene med meget vind, var det ikke en gang nødvendigt, da der var flere vinduer oppe i soveværelset i møllen, så man let fik gennemtræk. Vi rejste 4 personer. To voksne og to store børn (15 og 17 år). De sov i det mindre soveværelse og det fungerede ligeledes super godt!

Der var intet vi ikke kunne lide. Alt levede op til vores forventninger og mere til!!

Very unique, fun, and comfortable! It's actually a windmill converted into a cozy and comfortable place to stay. The hosts shared homemade cakes with us as well:) I would strongly recommend for anyone who is looking for this sort of experience.

Nothing bad to say about this place! But two things to note: - You do need transportation to the windmill stay. You can walk to town for food and exploration but do need another way to get around the island and get to the ferry port (and I'd recommend a car or ATV to get around Milos as taxi's can be expensive). - The two bedrooms are on separate floors but are not shut off from each other so there is not complete privacy.

Unique accommodation. Spacious. Great location for touring the island by car.

At first I didn't like going to the separate building to shower, but got used to that. There is a toilet inside the windmill, so all good at night.

Everything is of a good quality. The hosts were very friendly. The views are nice, the kitchen and outside areas very sweet. The windmill was surprisingly spacious

For the price, there could be breakfast included.

It was so beautiful! Maria was so wonderful.

This was the most amazing place we have ever stayed and we have traveled the world! Arrived to a table full of homemade cakes, biscuits and wine. The fridge was also full with absolutely everything you could ever need and more. All complimentary! Incredible location walking distance from the town full of beautiful restaurants and on top of a hillside with a view to die for. Spotlessly clean and serviced by the wonderful host, Maria, everyday. Even the tiny things like toiletries were high quality and soft beautifully fragranced towels. Can't say enough about how perfect our stay there was. A 20 out of 10 rating! Don't miss out on this incredible experience!

Very poor wifi. The place was just ok but the location was great.

Maria, the host is kind and attentive. She waited for us to arrive (10PM) to walk us through the property and facilities before handing us the keys. She filled the fridge with bottles of water, juice and homemade jams and provided homemade snacks, which were delicious and very appreciated. The view from this windmill is incomparable - the sunrise and sunset views from here are exquisite. A lot of cats wander the area and will come and hang out with you if you're sitting on the terrace. Place is cleaned daily and beds are comfortable. There's enough space to park a car if you hire one and it's a short walking distance to restaurants, shops and the popular town of Plaka. We were so happy we picked this place to stay while in Milos.

Didn't realise this but the area where the Windmill is located is popular with exploring tourists. We had a couple of people forcefully trying to enter the property. We had to tell several groups of people to stop trying to come in and kept the locks down to further enforce the door but the walls around the windmill are not that high, so not always the best for privacy during the daytime. Maybe a sign on the door to say "private property: do not enter" or something similar to that effect may give your guests more assurance of safety and privacy.
