Quiet but not secluded. Helpful, friendly neighbours. Healthy walk to empty beach. Felt like home.

Just to be helpful, a new, non-stick frying pan and an oven glove would be good.

We liked the Ness area of Lewis. The accommodation was excellent standard and very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need for cooking. The location was good for exploring Lewis and Harris. The local pub was a mile up the road which you could walk to in the summer. Excellent Cross Stores also a miles walk but they stocked everything you would need and home cooked food cakes quiches curry’s etc! Plenty to see and do on the Isles and all folk very friendly and kind. Iain was a great host and quick to reply to any questions. We would recommend this accommodation and will use it again next year and especially as it’s dog friendly!

Very comfortable, and spacious cottage with updated kitchen and bathroom. Bedrooms offered lots of room too. Cottage had everything we needed.

Cottage has it's own beach at the end of the croft which is great. It is a 15 minute walk over uneven ground, which could be an issue for some people.

The property is immaculately clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The decor has lovely touches of Harris tweed. Beds were very comfy and the cottage very cosy. The visitor folder included maps and lots of local info. Communications with the owner were very efficient and speedy.

Our only addition would be an open fire or stove however it was cosy and certainly warm enough without.

The location was great for sightseeing. A beach at the bottom of the field behind the cottage. Very modern internally, all modcons. Dog friendly 👍 Very pleasant , helpful neighbour.

Leaving

Close to the seashore and small remote beach, cliffs within walking distance. Close to my destination, Dun Eistein. Kitchen well supplied with new everything. Great water. Very quiet and peaceful countryside. Very clean and comfortable. Nice sunset view. Old ruin just across the street. Neighbor sells fresh eggs! Bed was very comfortable!

No television available, but not a big problem. Couldn't watch news or weather reports.

Lovely comfy beds. I didn’t really use anything else as I only slept there so can’t comment.
