"Good break away to peaceful surroundings ."

7.0

The view , the quietness

The squeaky toilet , and the fact couldn't use the peat fire although was peat on it , the chimney was capped ... And the fact got up one morning to no heating , which was sorted later on that day by a local plumber .

"Perfect week by the sea"

10.0

We wanted a quiet cottage close to a beach and close to a town/village. The location was perfect for us, village is quiet, parking for the car , excellent shop (Cross Stores) within fairly easy walking distance (but on a main road) from which we bought much of our food, local eggs sausages and black pudding , beer, 15 min or so walk through fields to the beach at the bottom of the croft. Thank you to David for the eggs and helpful local advice . Kitchen, bathroom and living room comfortable and well equipped , really appreciated dishwasher and washing machine and drying racks . we didn't use the TV . Really enjoyed chatting with locals and even practising my basic Scottish Gaelic . We've read many Peter May books and some of the locations from his Hebridean books are nearby. Great beaches , Ness Historical centre and art galleries and bike rides also made for a great stay

only very minor drawbacks towel rail would help, few more hangers in bedrooms
