Roy was the best

It is close to the downtown of Joshua Tree, very comfortable and reliable.

The location.

Walking into the property at 2am, it was unlocked and all lights were on, made us uneasy.

It was very, very dirty.

The apartment is walking distance to places to eat and a small market. We could also easily walk to the Visitor Center for Joshua Park. The park entrance is a bit farther away but still very convenient. The apartment is very comfortable (adequate heating, decent bed covers, comfortable living area, good kitchen appliances). Because we live in Europe and did not have a data plan in the US, we could not communicate easily with the management. We arrived earlier than indicated and luckily we were able to contact Roy and he had the place ready for us within a very short time. He gave us the keys personally.

Other reviewers have mentioned minor inconveniences (window didn't open) but the place has a number of advantages. None of the problems mentioned were so dire as to take away from the plusses.

Location was great — walking distance to shops and restaurants. House was comfy, quiet, and well outfitted. Shower is nice, water gets good and hot. Host was very responsive.

It was a little too warm for us and we couldn’t adjust the temp. Ended up turning it off. Towels are rough texture and wash cloths weren’t provided. We were surprised at the long lines at restaurants both Sat noonish and evening. We went to neighboring towns to eat! Would have been good to be forewarned so that we could plan our meals a little better.

The unit I stayed in was spacious and comfortable. It was clean and had some nice outdoor space. Of course the surrounding vistas are lovely. It is right next to the entrance to the national park and many other things. The parking was great. I had to call ahead for a question and the person I spoke with was super laid back and friendly.

It wasn’t clear where the outdoor trash was located, as I was checking out (the winds hand blown things around).I left the house kind of early on a Sunday and didn’t want to bother anyone, so that is on me (I did leave a note, however with my apologies ).
