Seeing the wild life

Upon arrival we had to clean the front porch, take out a headboard standing in the way, putting away mops and brooms left in the doorway. Struggling to open doors, cleaning the swimming pool before use. Aircon leaked in the kitchen Beds are past their due date and can use some fresh bedding. Spider webs in every corner tou look. Host parents needed to collect personal items upon our arrival. Deep freezer not working Host request that we stay at home to attend to property needs.

Peace @ Kruger is so accurately named because that's what you get staying there, peace. We had nature as the background, which was a wonderful alternate to city life and that persistent electric hum. The private garden with pond was beautiful, and our daily visitors in the greater garden were wildebeest, warthogs, duiker, impala, monitor lizards. Our neighbours had zebra and giraffe too. The outdoor space includes a splash pool with umbrella - which we spent every midday heat in; a lookout with dining table and chairs; as well as a very large boma/braai entertainment area. Perfect for a family or group of friends. The home has 3 bedrooms each with toilet. Two had a shower or bath. The kitchen is large and scullery includes a chest freezer and washing machine. We enjoyed every bit of it. We spent 3 nights there and it wasn't long enough. We highly recommend Peace @ Kruger. Money well spent and honestly you get more than you pay for.

The only thing that I can say wasn't perfect, is actually a personal preference. We're used to a firmer mattress, but some may enjoy these. Again, this is a personal preference, not a slight. We didn't lose sleep for it anyway.

None of the cooking pots were clean. I realise that this is from other people using the facility but whoever come to clean up after guests leave should check this. The dish towels need replacing There was no cloth to cleaning stuff or cloth to clean the bath

Very well-equipped, nicely located regarding distance from view points - a really lovely walk to the closest one, but a drive to the others in Marloth Park. Comfortable enough, lots of seating. Well maintained. Just, generally, a really wonderful place to stay. We had lots of visits from bushbucks, warthogs, zebras and impalas. Loved the gas-geyser, too. Lovely and serene.

The beds weren't very comfortable, but were good enough that they didn't keep one up at night.

Property was easy to find , we felt very safe as security was excellent. House was family friendly, kitchen well equipped, beautiful pool and garden Kids really enjoyed the friendly animals that were coming around.

We had to bring our own decoder for Dstv Bed was not so comfortable
