It was a really great time at Madeira in a wonderful house. Everything that was needed was there. The hostess was very friendly and available at any time. The location of the house on the island is highly recommended. Everything can be reached in a maximum of 60 minutes

there is a busy road to the beach and waterfalls, so found it not very safe to go there with kids. All the rest was great

A smaller two-story house surrounded by lots of banana trees. It has an excellent equipped kitchen and dining room. The toilet is on the ground floor and upstairs as part of a nice bathroom. Plenty of towels available. It has a terrace on the south side and on the north, where there is also a fireplace - a grill for preparing meals. Charcoal was prepared. We also received a lot of delicious bananas, for which we thank you. There is also an excellent laundry room, where you can not only wash your clothes, but also wash your dirty shoes. The whole house is very practically furnished. It is located near the ocean.

The outdoor furniture would need repair. The extra bed was very comfortable, but the third bed creaked terribly. Wifi was good on the ground floor (in the dining room), but upstairs (in the room) it was worse.

It was our eighth stay on Madeira Island and the best accommodation so far. A great renovated house, we were shown everything in detail and we also learned a lot about the history of the house. Veronica and her family were the best hosts, providing us with fresh fruit. You can expect a very clean accommodation there, surrounded by bananas, with a private parking lot and plenty of space to relax. Simply a little oasis with a sea view, the sound of the sea and lots of privacy. We will definitely book the house again on our next vacation!

We can only think of one tiny suggestion for improvement: Insect/mosquito screens on the windows and doors.

Peace and quiet. The outside barbecue space was nice as was the balcony. The house has plenty of space and good clothes washing facilities.

I think I misjudged this place. I thought we would see the sea and sunsets from the balcony but the banana trees obscured it so the house felt completely surrounded by them. Also I hadn’t realised how far away from things we would be. We had a hard time finding it - a simple sign with the house name at the bottom of the steps would have helped. 32 steep steps with large suitcases was a bit of a challenge. The outside furniture needs replacing - some of it is broken. Also a duvet on the bed not a sheet and woolly blanket would be better. A coffee maker and a clean oven would also update this place which has lots of character but needs updating. Sorry to sound negative - unlike other reviewers I felt disappointed especially after being in a lovely old but well equipped house in Funchal.

Very beautiful house in a nice quie, place. We were a family of 3. There is one bedroom with a double bed and a single bed that has 2 mattresses. Our daughter slept there. We had a great time at the house, having everything we needed to cook and relax. Highly recommended.

Fantastic views of the Atlantic and banana plantations from front terrace and lovely barbecue on back terrace - we were outside most of the time which was such a treat in February. We saw some incredible sunsets over the ocean too. The location is fab - a short drive to the local supermarket and a nice walk to Madalena for a bite to eat (through some amazing old tunnels). We also went for some lovely runs along the sea front. It’s a short drive to some beautiful hikes - Levada Nova was one of our favourites. It was clean and comfortable and the hosts were very friendly and communicative - the homegrown bananas and papaya were a lovely welcoming gift.

Nothing! The only thing we would improve would be a few more glasses, a bottle opener and some more breakfast bowls. Other than that it was perfect!

The location was just great, house was fully equiped and spacious, very calm surrounding - in the nature.

The double bed was a bit small for us.

Check in was made so easy as met the host at a nearby service station and then followed them to the house. The house is stunning set within a family banana plantation. the house is fully equipped for cooking and BBQ etc. the place is so quiet and private but not far from local bars.

The road to Ponta do Sol was closed for maintenance, so we were unable to walk to the town or visit the waterfall along the road.
