The Bungalow

Tolles Zimmer nach oben offen zum Giebel und mit großen Fenstern. Es gibt nur 3 Zimmer, 2 davon haben Seeblick! Personal super nett ! Es gibt eine Art Aufenthaltsraum, wo es Frühstück gibt, wo man aber auch abends noch sitzen kann. Würden immer wieder kommen!

We had such a lovely stay at The Bungalow. The view over the lake is wonderful, and the room with its high ceilings and large windows feels truly impressive. During our stay it rained, and compared to the southern regions, it was noticeably cooler. The house itself is also quite chilly, but curling up in bed with sweatpants and a jumper kept us warm enough. Breakfast was great, with paratha and lentils, as well as toast with jam, fruit, yogurt, and eggs cooked to your liking. We were very satisfied with everything and felt warmly welcomed and well looked after by the two friendly hosts. The accommodation is a bit outside Nuwara Eliya, but we enjoyed a relaxed 45-minute walk along the lake and park into town and took a tuk-tuk back for 700 LKR.

As mentioned in some other reviews, we also experienced the acoustic spectacle from the lake starting around 7 p.m. — it’s so loud it almost feels like a huge party right next door 😂. Of course, that’s not the host’s fault, and with good earplugs you can still sleep well.

- open space and view (especially while breakfast) - friendly staff, gave us tipps were we could go - breakfast was good (chicken is spicy so beware of that)

- room was a bit cold due to the weather and no heating but we knew that before: just for information, bring a hoodie with you, then you‘re good

The hosts were really kind, the view was stunning and the breakfast really good

The curtains were not really opaque so we woke up with the sun

Отель с прекрасным видом на озеро Грегори. До центра Нувара Элии пешком минут 15. На тук-туке минут 5. Находится на горе, за счет чего красивый вид. Прекрасный красивый дом с большой гостинной, живыми цветами и мини садом. Очень доброжелательный , готовый во всем помочь хозяин. Был вкусный ланкийский завтрак. Горячая вода была постоянно.

Утром было свежо просыпаться. Но, это Нувара-Элия. Мы знали, что так будет. Вечером было комфортно, спали в пижамах с коротким рукавом😊

We felt very comfortable during our stay. The rooms are spacious and offer a fantastic view of the lake (the two of them which have lake view) The staff was very kind and helpful — Josef even assisted us late at night with an electricity problem and helped us find the right medicine.

The bathroom had a slight smell at first, but it went away quickly.

Lovely property on the lake, with good hosts and breakfast.

It’s very loud at night and hard to sleep due to clubbing music
