Exceptionally beautiful view, friendly staff, delicious breakfast.

A little renovation would make the room much more enjoyable.

Very spacious and elegant, colonial styled interior with giant french windows. This much you can get from the pictures and the place is as beautiful as the pictures. Huge old styled room and the view of the Gregory Lake was awesome from the place. We were unfortunate to not see a clear sky on that day but nevertheless the view was excellent from the balcony. Breakfast was nice and in healthy proportions. Though we felt the price was bit at the higher side but considering the view and the decor, its an experience you can go for.

The location is bit far from the city centre and passes though a bit shady area - so prefer not to go out for a walk in the dark. The room's toilet was a bit smelly - maybe the ventilation was not proper but it felt okay by morning next day - we did not actually informed the caretaker since it was quite late when we arrived at night and in morning it was okeyish. And the bed was a bit squeaky- not too much to disturb your sleep, but just a bit of touch up is required. Restaurants are quite far away from the place and only option is Pizzahut for delivery at night if you don't want to go out very far away.

Die Unterkunft liegt fast am Ende einer engen Straße oberhalb Lake Gregory. Unser Zimmer war groß und gut ausgestattet mit tollem Seeblick. Es gab einen großen Gemeinschaftsraum, in dem auch das Frühstück serviert wurde. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der nette Herr, der das Frühstück bereitete und unglaublich aufmerksam war.

Zimmer, Haus, Ausblick, Personal! Alles! Lage außerhalb auch voll in Ordnung, mit TukTuk in 8min in der Stadt zu sehr günstigem Preis- man genießt die Ruhe außerhalb!

In our 8 week tour, this is the worst place we stayed. The Booking.com advert shows a lovely view of the lake - which is correct, but that is where the good news ends.

This place is quite remote, and is at the end of a very narrow and steep track. We thought we could walk down to the lake, but there is no access. The house is surrounded by stray dogs fighting and barking all of the time. We assumed from the photos of the dining room that there would be food available, but there is none. The only offer they had as a delivered pizza. The town center is too far to walk to and the dogs would make it most unpleasant. It took us a while to work out the plumbing had been doen in reverse, so the cold tap was for hot water. The room was cold, and when we asked for a heater, they charged us an extra 1,500 LKr. The bedding was very old and looked grey even though it was clean. The wall between the two rooms is very thin, and you can hear everything your neighbours say and do. Between the neighbours and the dogs we got nearly no sleep at all . We had booked for 2 nights but left at 6.30am the next morning and cancelled the 2nd night.
