La Casa del Mastro - Como Lake

Beautiful location with an amazing view of the lake and looking over to over commuting of the Como region. The place is clean, modern, quiet location away from all the heavily tourist areas, all the facilities to cook yourself a meal ( so stop a Lidl in town and stock up) and close to a bus stop that we took to see other little communities like Bellagio so we did not have to use the car on the winding road. Very good communication with the host, the owner also came to check to make sure we knew how to out the heating on as over night we went into a cold snap. This is a hidden Gem !

Advise: it is up in the hills, it’s a steep, windy drive to the property on typical narrow Italian roads and when you find a park close to the properly it is about a 150m walk with stars on old slate and cobblestone like paths. So don’t pack just a large suitcase bring. You will struggle to get it to the property. We packed a light bag and took just what we needed.

AMAZING views of Lake Como. We stayed two nights but would love to spend an entire week. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need, decorated with great taste and has 2 balconies from were you can appreciate Lake Como. We went by car and we parked on the way to the apartment. Daniela is wonderful and very attentive to any doubts.

It’s perfect

We have spent 5 days in Lake Como in April. This apartment was amazing, a true gem! The host took really good care of every detail of the house: the kitchen was outstandingly well equipped, the decoration and styling is amazing, the quailty of the whole place is much higher than what I got used to during my recent stays in such apartments, it really had a cozy and warm feeling. The house was very clean. The location is amazing: the view is even better then it looks on the photos. The host sent us a very-very detailed description along with some photos to find the apartment easily and we got there with no problems at first shot. There is always some parking place within 100-200 meters from the front door. This is a very-very old house on the hillside with a trendy interior and has an amazing atmoshpere which no other, modern hotel or bed & breakfast could compete with. The best place I’ve evered stayed in Italy in terms of equipments, comfort and vibe. Many thanks for the host for the nice experience, looking forward to go back!

We like the place - it was cosy, kitchen and living area on the first floor and bedroom on the second including view from the balcony! We stayed there when it was not hot outside, so the apartment was pre-heated before our arrival. There is even a washing machine. It is a small home with everything you might need.

Some of the kitchen cabinets did not open/close well, probably the quality of the kitchen furniture itself. Needs to be repaired. But it was fine, as we had just 3 days stay.
