Valentina's House

De locatie is super, dichtbij het dorpje. Je hebt een prachtig uitzicht over de zee. Het is een groot en licht huis. Het is leuk dat het een lokaal huisje is. Het was over het algemeen schoon. Mooie grote keuken. Het terras is gedeeld, dus niet zo uitnodigend. Er is wel een privé terras op het dak. De host is erg vriendelijk en reageert snel. Bij ontvangst kregen we wat biertjes en andere versnaperingen, erg leuk. Oh ja het is een erg groot huis met 4 slaapkamers.

We hebben de eerste nacht wakker gelegen door de onderburen. Als die praten hoor je dat enorm goed in de slaapkamer. De onderburen hebben tot 3/4 uur in de ochtend gepraat, waardoor we er steeds wakker van werden. Het is een erg gehorige huis. Als ze niet thuis zijn heb je er geen last van. Daarnaast is er naast de slaapkamer buiten op de weg een rooster waar auto’s overheen rijden, dat hoor je in de slaapkamer enorm goed. Na 23 uur rijden er weinig auto’s, dus dan heb je er niet echt last meer van. De badkamer is gedateerd. Het bad heeft veel schimmelplekjes in de voegen waardoor het niet uitnodigt om in bad te gaan liggen. Het bed heeft harde veren, waardoor je ook niet zo lekker slaapt.

We had a great time in this village, probably the house contributed to that too :). It is very spacious, too big for a single family, very simple, the kitchen and bathroom are not brand new, but they have absolutely everything you need; it offers access to 2 terraces, one in front and the other above the house; despite being on the street, in the center of the town, it offers privacy and quietness; good restaurants nearby.

The village seems isolated by high, steep peaks, it is winding, with narrow streets, access by car to the courtyard of the house is a bit difficult; you definitely need a car to go out and explore other attractions

The house looks old, but it adds a charm to it. It has a large space with an even larger sundeck. Lots of rooms. The kitchen is very well equipped. Sitting in a burning fireplace area feels nice in the evening. The host, Mr. Nuno, was very friendly and helpful. There is a driveway for two/three cars which can be closed for a night. The surrounding location is calm; there are a couple of restaurants and grocery stores. The views there are fantastic, as probably everywhere on Madeira.

Tiny detail. There are those downstairs on sundeck without the guardrail. There is only this white-red stripes tape surounding the stairs. I hope the guardrail will be finally installed there.

A great apartment that has even more than everything for a comfortable stay, great location and great host. We enjoyed it a lot

Nothing, everything was perfect

The location was perfect! Listening to the waves of the ocean, close to all the great hikes, walking distance to delicious restaurants, and a free pool walking distance!

Brilliant location, and the house has everything we could possibly have needed for our 3 night stay. Definitely recommend and if we return to Madeira we would love to book again.

The location, the spacious rooms and the terrasse with a view.

Lovely old property, comfortable and well equipped, with wonderful views over the adjacent village and sea. Great local walks and friendly restaurants, bars and small shops.

A bit more outdoor seating from which to enjoy the superb terrace and the sea view would have been nice.
