The location being less than 100 yards from the harbour. The internal decor and facilities in the property were excellent. The use of the limited space available , very cleverly done..

Maybe the front door needs sprucing up.

Easy access to Cottage and access to Harbour was easy for my wife with mobility problems. Everything needed for a short stay and allowed early access on arrival. Although no parking on the street , parking nearby was very good.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay so no complaints or suggestions.

Excellent central but relaxed location and outstanding value for money. We would have no hesitation in staying here again as we were happy with the property and the upkeep and finish inside. Daisy cottage offers the overwhelming majority of the facilities you would want (dishwasher, washing machine, kitchen basics, etc.) available and wifi excellent -- reliable and fast. Property was cleaned to a high standard on our arrival. We could have easily have stayed for a longer visit very comfortably. The harbour is a two minute walk from the front door. The village of St Monans is probably the smallest and quietest on the East Neuk coast, which we appreciated. It does have two extremely highly-rated seafood restaurants, as well as a tidal pool, historic ruins and buildings, a small corner shop, an upmarket coffee shop, and quite good public transport links to the other coastal villages, to St Andrews, and to Edinburgh. The Fife Coastal Path runs right through the village so we walked to many destinations. Pittenweem can be reached in around 35 minutes, with the bonus of fantastic views across the Firth of Forth, of seals basking, of seabirds, and if you're keen-eyed, of dolphins, whales, or porpoises breaching. The excellent Ardross Farm Shop is also about 30 minutes along the path (or about five by bus) so you can stock up on excellent Scottish produce to cook in Daisy Cottage's kitchen.

Mattress could be more comfortable. Linens for sofa bed were not provided ahead of time so request these in advance if you need them. We didn't realise that was necessary until we went to make up the bed for the night. As this is a seaside cottage and in Scotland, the lack of a clothes horses for wet or laundered items would be a challenge for a longer stay, worse weather, or a larger party. The shower thermostat wasn't working properly on the higher pressure setting. The property owner checked we were able to shower, which we were using a lower pressure setting. We found this acceptable given our relatively short stay. She plans to have the issue looked at now we've checked out so this shouldn't trouble future travellers.

No allocated parking. Had to park a fair distance from property.
