Unique house on riverside - castle views - Barnard Castle

Great venue , Fantastic views comfortable furniture/bed. everything in good condition. This would be a great place to stay for a group of friends

Not a lot... not to like. Only small issues. Bedrooms really warm due to weather, probably needs more fans. (despite windows being open). We arrived late could of done with some milk being there (told you really really small things)

Beautiful house, beds were very comfortable, exceptional views perfectly located.

Lovely spacious property with stunning views

A beautiful and spacious house, in the most fantastic location, right on the river with a wonderful view of the County Bridge and the Castle. The swivel chairs in the dining room are perfect for enjoying the river flowing by, watching the birds and the mesmerising play of wind and light on the water. It was also the perfect place to watch the hilarious "Not a Boat" race (part of the Barney Meet Whit Weekend celebrations)! We were visiting with our extended family and the sitting room downstairs was also a lovely and very comfortable space to enjoy the evening together.

Some of our party are very tall and found the downstairs loo a little too snug, but it's much better to have one than not! It was great to have a travel cot available - a high chair would be a super addition if that was possible.

The location was fantastic and the views were so beautiful. Loved enjoying my morning cuppa sat in the window overlooking the river and the castle.

The living room being on a different level simply because we had brought children. Otherwise not an issue.
