"Lovely house, location and views"

We booked our stay for a family wedding at Lartington Hall, which was only a 5 minute drive away. The house is really nice, right on the river with lovely views and less then a 10 minute walk over the bridge to the centre of Barnard Castle The house is very well equipped, nice and modern and clean. Great communication from Kate the owner. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again

Superb, spacious riverside property with views of the castle. So peaceful watching the river and wildlife, including otters. Short walk into Barny with an abundance of places to eat and drink. friendly locals. Lots to explore on your doorstep. We didn't use the car once.

Good quality furnishings throughout, although mattresses a little on the firm side. It's an interesting building, I was keen to know it's history. Easy enough to do an Internet search, however, a short paragraph or two for the curious visitor would be welcome.

"Wonderful place for a weekend away in a beautiful location."

Location was perfect. Beautiful views of the river and castle and really appreciated the chairs near them to allow you to sit close and watch the birds. LOVED that. Bedding and everything very clean and the house was just exactly what you’d want.

Nothing bad at all really! Parking wasn’t allocated but it was very easy to park and we never had any problems - even at a weekend.

The view from the living room and bedrooms blew us away and it was lovely to listen to the sound of the river at night. Very convenient for wedding venue (Lartington Hall) and for walks into Barnard Castle.

Not a dislike but suggestions- provide more tea towels and use a 5 gang power strip under the main beds so that phones can be charged.

Excellent base for our holiday. House was exceptional. Great location, very clean, really good quality furnishings equipment. Would definitely stay again. Very friendly and helpful host. Highly recommended. Loads to do in the local area too.
