Everything was as advertised. The special touches from the host like home made marmalade was appreciated

The entrance puts you off, but it is short lived!!

I stayed in many places. I have never met expensive coffee machines, sound bars with subwoofers, and collectible vintage radios for guests. All kitchenware matches by color. Complimentary cake, fruits and Porto vine are offered. Places and where to eat recommendations are printed. The host is amazing. Everything is made with love.

The host went out of his way to pick us up at the train station, and his mom made us some amazing cakes! The guest house looks exactly as pictured on the listing. Easy walking distance to downtown. Air conditioning worked really well. Overall a quiet and cozy stay!

Hot water temperature can be sensitive at times.

Very welcoming host and extremely large and well appointed apartment. Port, ham and fruit available for guests. Built into historic house.

Minimal natural light and a bit musty smelling.

The lovely host met us at the front of the property’s common entrance. He kindly saved us a spot, so we could park our car and led us inside to go over a thorough list of activities around the area. His mother’s amazingly delicious hand made conserve was the highlight of our stay and we would come back again because of it and for the lovely appartement. For Euro 95 per night, Salgeiral is a much better option than typical hotels.

slight Issue regulating water temperature in the small shower cubicle. Water suddenly becomes scolding hot and will burn and become cold again without adjusting tap. Also, there is a handwritten note on the toilet asking not to place any paper in the cistern, which might inconvenience some.

The host was welcoming, friendly, informative and very generous. The accommodation was large, well equipped and had many bonuses. The area was quiet and safe.
