"Great location!"

Location was excellent House was clean had everything we needed!

The beds were the only downside of the stay the rest of my group mentioned on more than a few occasions about back pain due to the beds - including myself Though taking the price and everything into consideration I would stay here again!

"HORRENDOUS. FILTHY, NOISY, HELL!"

1.0

Myself and three colleagues have just checked out of Waterloo House Derry after an absolutely awful stay. We are all working professionals touring with ‘Dirty Dancing’. Upon arrival we contacted the owner straight away via the booking.com app to explain what a poor state the house was in. Darren, the owner, called me on Monday (the day after we arrived) and recommended we move out of the property so he can rectify the problems but we are not in a position to move out as we have no where else to stay and due to work we need to be based in Derry for the week. The property smells heavenly of cigarette smoke, the pool table is covered in mould and fungus, filthy cutlery/ mugs etc, there is a leak in the top bedroom from the roof so the mattress is wet and the top bedroom is damp, the beds are horrendously uncomfortable, no hangers in the wardrobes, towels we’ve been provided are soiled, not enough pillows for a comfortable nights sleep, a loose toilet seat, drawer front fell off when I opened it and no chance of getting any peace as the noise from the street and bars is absolutely awful. I’ve been on tour for two years now around the UK and all in all this is the worst property we’ve stayed in. The landlord, who we’ve now discovered owns 15 properties in Derry, turned up to our workplace in a very threatening manner last night during a performance demanding we leave the property immediately. Lots of cast members and backstage crew are staying in his digs around the city and they’re all terrible. One of my colleagues had to be moved on Friday night by our company to another property. The reason for her being moved is because she has returned to work recently post cancer treatment and has a lower immune system, she has been sleeping in a damp bed due to the leaking roof and as you can imagine this has caused major anxiety and stress.
