Rosedale Cottage

Perfect location lovely hosts. Had everything needed for our holiday. Very handy having the stairgates, highchair and cot for my son. So peaceful and beautiful garden. Very comfy beds and warm shower. Handy having dishwasher and washing machine.

Rosedale Abbey is a wonderful village and there were nice walks around the village too.

It was a really quiet and relaxing cottage, well outfitted and comfortable. Great attention to details such as bathrobes and slippers, pizzas in the freezer, wine. There were fresh eggs from Sally and Peter’s chickens. Very welcoming.

Dodgy wifi which is nice and quiet, but not always handy because you cannot be reached by family.

Beds are the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in, including our own! The house had everything you would expect in a “home” and more

Absolutely nothing

Great location, amazing cottage with lots of little extras to make it really feel like a home from home. The kids (4yrs and 2 yrs) loved it and Peter & Sally were so helpful, putting up stair gates and travel cot ready for our arrival.

Facilities were great, fully equipped kitchen with everything you need. Very comfortable and cosy cottage.

Nothing to do with the with the cottage but the local shop only opened for an hour in the morning I think due to the time of year but there wasn't another shop for miles

Such an amazing cosy cottage with everything you need in an amazing location. Easy parking too. Directly opposite Brilliant facilities and helpful hosts. They even left us a bottle of wine for my birthday. Cannot recommend enough!

Rosedale Cottage was a great location to access the moors, Whitby and Pickering areas. The road outside the door is very quiet, especially at night, with ample parking opposite so no need to park on the road. There is a great pub and the village stores are only a short walk away and have ample provisions if you don't want to wander too far. The cottage itself is lovely and well equipped with everything you will need for a relaxed stay. The garden is amazing and at night you can sit and watch the stars with a glass of wine (which was also available at the cottage for a very reasonable charge). The hosts (Sally and Peter) gave us space to enjoy ourselves but kept in touch via email to make sure we were settled which we liked.

There is nothing we didn't like and would happily recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful stay with easy access to the surrounding countryside. There is very little phone service in the village but ample WiFi in the cottage and plenty of phone signal at the top of the valley so if have a need to contact the outside world you can, but why would you.
