Rosedale Cottage

The location was perfect for exploring the moors. Whether you want a completely private retreat walking on the moors or want to explore the more touristy areas such as Whitby or Flamingo Land, this property is perfectly located. The cottage itself was beautiful and had all the facilities you would have at home (and sometimes more! There’s a telescope in the garden which was a treat). The bed was extremely comfy and the bathroom boasts both a bath and a shower, allowing for a perfect way to relax after a long walk. Couldn’t want for anything more and was very sad to have to go home!

No pressure to be there at a certain time with keys being there and notified in advance that the property was available early. Well stocked kitchen. Great communication from hosts. Lovely outside space. Very clean. Very welcoming space. Lovely decor.

This cottage and garden is just beautiful, and the host has thought of all the little extras like housecoat’s and slippers to even leaving 6 eggs from their own chickens for breakfast . Highly recommend this cottage as we will definitely be going back .

The cottage is very homely and comfortable with numerous nice touches like games, puzzles and a telescope for star gazing from the greenhouse. The kitchen and facilities are excellent and there are instruction manuals for everything. The owners have really thought about what people would want and need and have provided it.

There wasn't anything to dislike.

Loved the location - pretty village in the heart of the moors giving easy access to other villages and walks on the moors and surrounding attractions. The cottage was beautifully appointed with everything provided for a self-contained stay. Our hosts were very helpful and obliging.
