Unfortunately a maintenance issue a leaking shower came through the dining room ceiling this meant no lights in the dining room for a family meal. They were super responsive a handy man came later that day but it meant that room was out of use due to no lights whilst it dried out- The house is beautiful and information is great and we all know “things happen” we could t fault the response time just a shame as we were only staying for a couple of nights . We would definitely recommend the house and the wonderful northern south cafe a few steps away.

Beautiful property, thoughtfully maintained, with excellent communication from our hosts. The location was great, and well connected to the train station and to local buses.

some of the lights were flickering - but the hosts responded promptly to fix this!

We took a family trip to Berwick and stayed in this house. The owners were very helpful and gave us all the information required before our stay. The house was clean with a small hamper given to us upon arrival. There is no bad bedroom across the whole house l, every room was clean and looked lovely, with a bath in one of the rooms to help with a 3 month child. The log burner added a nice cosy feel to the living room, I’d recommend in colder months bringing a small bag of wood to keep it going all weekend although there is some left at property. The central heating is easy to use and heats the whole house very quickly. The garden is nice, unfortunately due to the cold weather we couldn’t use it but big enough for the dogs to have a little run about. I’d imagine with the seating and bbq it will be very nice in the summer.

Although the house is warm your feet will be cold, I’d recommend bringing slippers during your stay. The only main issue to the house is how noisy it is outside, you can hear every car that goes passed and a few drunken people along with seagulls kept us awake at times. Maybe add double glazing windows?
