"Lovely place to stay"

10.0

The weaver cottage was perfect for my partner and I. Very glad we stayed there. All good facilities and nice and quiet location. Please note it was great for us but the hill is steep if you have mobility issues you may need to think about it. The host was friendly and I would ask her if you have any mobility concerns.

Good facility lovely garden area nice and quiet location

"Adequate. Thanks"

6.0

Lovely location. Liked the washing machine and general layout.

It was a bit sad and uncared for. The printed leaflet/information was tatty. The second person couldn't move around the bed with no bedside light and nowhere to put anything in the bathroom

"Very Good"

7.0

Cosy cottage with good facilities. Good location set above the town.

The main photo is misleading as the patio area is overgrown and unkempt. The poor state of neighbours outhouses distract from the view. The bathroom washbasin is miniscule! 3

"Wonderful bolthole"

9.0

Weaver's Cottage is a fantastic little bolthole. Not the easiest to find, but the locals are incredibly friendly and helpful. Bed was comfy, kitchen had everything you needed, the garden was a great bonus.

It's not the most private of places, which I can imagine would bother some people, but didn't disturb me at all. The property also clearly suffers from damp, being the age that it is you'd expect some of that!

"Disappointing"

4.0

The railway station was a 10 minute walk away.

The cottage was very shabby. The kitchen is on the cusp of falling to pieces. Cupboard doors barely fit, the fridge Cupboard door scrapes along the floor and the dishwasher Cupboard door has no handle and a very flimsy top hinge. There has been a flood from an upstairs cottage, the plaster work is all peeling off above the kitchen sink cabinets. The shower room is small, which was OK, but the sink was so small it was an impossibility to get a wash in. The water pressure on the electric shower was very low but manageable. The plaster work behind the loo hasn't been finished off or painted and looked messy. The understairs Cupboard is a dumping ground (a curtain separates it from the bedroom) for a vacuum cleaner and Christmas decorations. On a positive note there's a clothes rail in there for your shirts etc I found the living room sofa and chairs not very comfortable, very dated and multi pattern(not matching/uncoordinated) cushions... it just looked like another dumping ground for old gear. The picture of the patio/garden is misleading as it's terribly overgrown, has an open doorway(no gate) so not private as it's next to two adjoining paths which was used by (on the Thursday we were there) three separate walking groups! Overall, a disappointing property, good location for us with good train and road connections.

"A beautiful stay at a beautiful location. Morris-on!"

10.0

The convenience to the town. I wanted to be in walking distance to the town so that I could reach my colleagues, who were camping near the Tithe Barn. #10 was perfect. The property was reasonably quiet and private and I was able to get on with my stay without hindrance. Perfect for a weekend of music and Morris!

With a lot of bags to carry from/to the car, the walk up and down the pathways was tiresome. BUT I WAS WARNED - so I cannot complain. If I make a repeat visit, possibly next year, I now know better.

Nice cottage

Too steep for 79 @ 88 year old . Only the walk from car park described as steep. The view we were promised wasn’t visible.

"Good view but not for the unfit."

4.0

Good Views

Needs to be more explained how to get to property. I arrived on train, so i had to research about taxis which wasn’t explained and the changing of key codes and the safe location bothered me. No more purple door🤷‍♂️ Unable to wash my arse in the minuscule sink. Outside of property was not looked after and plants never watered. As a booking agency you need to verify the latest photographic images you advise the property as, It was nothing like it. Has a single “male” occupant of a wiser age i was able to tolerate it. View and quietness was lovely.

"Superb"

9.0

Excellent location with fantastic views, the cottage was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for a short break. It was very quiet and relaxing, one of the quietest places I have stayed in. The walk up from the town is quite steep so helps keep you shape!
