Perfect location for a quiet few days away, no hassle or bustle, lots of walks around the area and perfect scenery

This wonderful little chalet was a real gem. Sea views when the tide came in and so peaceful and quiet. Owners were really attentive and sent us welcoming text. Highly recommended!

Nothing. Chalet was perfect and spotless

Overall, this property was excellent. There was pretty much everything you could want in a holiday home. There are a few tiny niggles which are age related and need to be fixed/touched up by the hosts, but these did not impact the enjoyment of the holiday or the property in any way. All of the information given prior to arrival was excellent and in addition, there is a wealth of information at the property to make sure you don't miss out. The other properties on the site are either holiday homes or lived in by the owners, but everyone makes you feel welcome regardless. This particular property is in an excellent position and very close to the sea, offering great views and scenic walks. On this visit we were fortunate enough to experience moon rises (seen in th epictures) and the August meteor showers, as there is no light polution at night in Laigh Isle. My son and I are keen fisherman and chose this property for it's location to allow us to fish locally and not have to travel far to get a good spot on the rocks. The local cafe and shop is handy for groceries, if you run out and the Steam Packet Inn does excellent food and the biggest portion of fish and chips I've ever seen. We have no doubt that we will be back at Laigh Isle in the future!

There's nothing to say here really. The only bad point of the whole visit was that, on check out, the hosts ask that if bin day has already passed, you take your rubbish to the local refuse center. There are directions however, when we arrived at the center in Whithorn, it was closed. Perhaps some additional information on opening times for this facility would be better to allow better planning, when checking out.
