Casa do ti' Marrão

It's an entire home, spacious with garden and in a very quiet area. Teresa is exceptional, very friendly, speaks fluent English, and prepared us breakfast with home made cheese and jams 😍

The pictures used to advertise the home on booking.com show a completely different place.

Though it was late and a last minute booking, the host Teresia was waiting for me at the door. She was exceptionally friendly, and spoke very good English. I found the unit to be spacious and cozy. Of course impeccably clean. The bathroom is a good size, it possesses a full kitchen, and their is a washer/dryer. The location is literally a few minutes from the airport, so is perfect for overnight layovers. Combined with its friendly price, I doubt you will find any place better!

The owner was very friendly and helpful. There were some wonderful surprises as well. Everything worked as intended. The house is close to the airport. The host warned that the couch was too small for sleeping but it was sufficient. We decided to put up with this slight inconvenience given the place had a washer and dryer (which we unfortunately later found out were not included). The shower was warm and strong.

The major problem was I booked this house primarily because I saw it had a washer and dryer in the photos and it specifically advertised having a washing machine as an amenity. Unfortunately, upon checking in, the host then said that they actually aren't included and we must pay additional to use them. That really should've been in the description and made clear because I would have booked elsewhere had I known they were actually not included. I didn't appreciate that.

Generous host had snacks for us upon arrival. She also gave us homemade cookies as we did not have time to get dinner and the restaurants were all closed. The place was warm and cozy with very nice decor!

Strong musty damp odor as it's in an ancient stone building, and it was hard to sleep with the smell.

Could have stay at the house for ever !!
