Die Unterkunft bietet viel Platz und ist modern eingerichtet, die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und alles war sauber. Im Umkreis von Foiano della Chiana befinden sich viele ansprechende Städte und auch der Trasimenische See ist nicht weit entfernt. Gala, ein großer Supermarkt, liegt nur einen halben Kilometer von der Wohnung entfernt. Pietro, der Gastgeber, war sehr nett, hat uns viele Tipps gegeben und auch im Restaurant für uns reserviert.

Der einzige Negativpunkt: Morgens scheint die Sonne direkt auf die Vorhänge, welche dadurch hell werden und Licht ins Schlafzimmer bringen.

Une belle villa luxueuse parfaitement tenue par le propriétaire, Pietro, que nous saluons au passage. La villa est très bien placée, près d’un nœud autoroutier, permettant d’accéder à de nombreux endroits à visiter comme Sienne, Cortone, Pérouse, Assise, Orvieto …..

We had a warm welcome. The property is in good condition. The apartment is for the most part as described, well equipped kitchen. Premises including the pool are quite clean. We appreciated that the host offered additional outdoor toys for our kids.

Maybe we were unlucky and maybe the host had some bad days as other visitors seemed to have a great time here. However, our experience here was one of the most disappointing we have had in many years of traveling. There were constant noises from the early morning to late at night from the host's flat above the apartment which you can hear all the time, whether it is the dog barking or the TV running or private discussions on the phone. The ceiling is made out of wood and seems thin as a paper. If you are sensitive to that, this can be an issue. At the beginning we did not understand that the rubbish had to be transferred to a place in the village by ourselves. The host got quite angry at us, texting us unkind messages with capital letters, but was not able to communicate that in a proper way as he does not speak English and uses a translator on the cell phone. On the second day of our arrival, we wanted to do some laundry and as we had already been traveling in Tuscany for more than a week with a family of four including a toddler, we had two to three washing loads. The washing machine is not in your room, but in the house of the host. You need to ask for access. While we were doing our first machine he started texting me that he has to do his laundry now. I immediately accepted and said we can do another machine tomorrow. He then determined we can only do it today as he is not a laundry business. As the use of a washing machine was part of the offer, we were quite confused. He texted and started arguing several times, that he did everything wrong with us. After several unkind and bossy text messages that we received, we neither felt welcome nor comfortable staying there anymore. In the end, we felt patronized and left ahead of time. If you are a couple travelling without kids, this might be a place for you. And it is clear that when travelling you have to accept the rules of your host.

We stayed in a two bedroom ground floor flat situated directly below the owner’s villa. The owner and his family were available 24/7. The property was exceptionally clean and finished to a high standard. There was a vast array of cooking equipment, plates, crockery and glasses. The pool and garden area were really lovely and sun loungers and bathing towels were supplied.

The property was advertised as having laundry facilities but they are located in the owners’ living area and clothes can only be washed by a housekeeper on certain days. An ‘air flow’ cooling system is set between 1000hrs and 1800hrs. It would have been nice to put it on for an hour or so to cool rooms down before we went to bed but this wasn’t possible. We were able to hear a tv and voices from the rooms above .

Space was spacious and comfortable, modern and new, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Pietro the owner was extremely nice and helpful ... booked us reservations at a restaurant and a winery, suggested areas to visit, restaurants, etc. There was a language barrier, but he was very responsive and communicative by WhatsApp and Google translate. 😀 Very clean accommodations!! There was a space to park our car. We would have loved to try the beautiful pool but a couple of our days were chilly. Would stay here again!

If I had to come up with something somewhat negative, we could hear a tv or talking starting around 5 am ... and we could hear people above us walking, etc. We thought we smelled cigarette smoke too. But the overall experience was great, so this was minor.
