Barnston Lodge

Great location on a lovely site.

Lodge is a bit dated and needs a deep clean and some repairs! Lots of cobwebs, dust and dirt everywhere that could be easily resolved. Patio doors do not close properly, broken spindles on decking area, rips to blankets and garden furniture

Was lovely clean and felt at home. Would definitely stay again. Wonderful location kids loved walking through the forest.

Hot tub was good.

Worst lodge we have been too. Dirty, nothing like the photos, water coming from the tap inside the lodge was brown! We couldn’t even brush our teeth or have a bath! Curtains were filthy and stained in the bedroom, dog hairs on the sofa which also smelt like cigarette smoke, literally 1 tea towel in the whole lodge, no washing up liquid. Knife in the drawer taped together with celotape, the main door didn’t shut properly to the lodge with a big gap at the top, the barbecue outside was disgusting and clearly the outside hadn’t been cleaned or prepared for us going. The main doors to the balcony didn’t open. Really would not recommend. We spent over £300 to take the kids away for a lovely anniversary weekend and we were absolutely disgusted. Definitely won’t be going back!

Being able to relax privately enclosed in the hot tub and nice walk to the restaurant with the dogs through a Forrest.

15 minute drive to the nearest shop as don’t have one on site

Lovely lodge, big spacious beautiful big rooms x 2 and bathroom Hot tub and gated space, BBQ (wasn't cleared ready to use) Dog friendly,

No front decking, part missing would have been nice to know 1st. Couldn't sit out with the sun at night when we lost the sun at the side of the lodge. Also, stated a coffee machine - none. would have liked basic cleaning products, i.e., dishwasher tablets left or known could have brought some. Wouldn't have like to have to sleep on the sofa bed in the living room very uncomfortable to even sit on.

The fact that the decking was under renovation and no glass panelling round the front . It is in desperate need of a deep clean inside and out. Think given the price tag for 2 nights I would have expected more it to be

Would of been a lush lodge if it was clean and not half done deffo not worth the price as is is and I feel gutted as it stressed me out witch then impacted the kids time

Was dirty like badly dirty even the steps leading in dog hair muck gave anxiety took over to hours to get heat on in a lad off site come and done it how luxurious the lodge could be was disappointed in what we got wasn’t even tea coffee n sugar and paying over 315 for a 2 night stay that half the decking wasn’t even up half dog chews under bed what my 2 year old chewed errr but if ther e was a gods hour or to clean and the decking and that was complete probly would of been great but not good when u have twins 5 years old and a 2 year old the patio area of decking was dirty to a have hosed a path way clean for kids as they used the hot tub this morn
