Probably one of the best views in matera

Roberto kindly met us at the central square near the train station which was perfect in a town where we ended up spending half our time wonderfully lost in the maze of ancient streets and passageways. The apartment is in a historic building which he simply and tastefully restored. Having the owner take the time to greet us and tell us about the area was a welcome change from the impersonal self checkin we had experienced elsewhere. There is a well equipped kitchen which was a real plus as we are not adventurous enough to wander at nights. There is a small minimart close by but do go to the open market where all the locals shop to buy delicious vegetables and fruits. Be sure also to buy the best focaccia and cornetti at "In Forno" at Vio Ascanio Persio 14/16. It is one of the best bakeries we encountered on our 4 week trip around Italia!

Damp smell

La posizione della casetta è ottimale per visitare Matera, ha una struttura tipica e il suo punto di forza è il terrazzino che permette di godere di un un panorama spettacolare (soprattutto la mattina, quando il sole illumina il bianco dei sassi). Il proprietario è super accogliente, direi anche una guida turistica (ci ha subito fornito spiegazioni e consigli). Abbiamo trascorso 3 giorni stupendi e scoperto davvero un luogo magico. Si cammina tantissimo e consiglio scarpe super comode (con gomma sotto, antiscivolo) e abbigliamento caldo ma stratificato.

È stato difficile trovare parcheggio, è comunque un pochino lontano dalla struttura.

Accueilli par Roberto, qui nous a aidé pour garer la voiture et donné pleins d'informations sur les sites à visiter. C'est vraiment agréable d'être accueilli par le propriétaire des lieux! Le logement est extrêmement propre et confortable, nous avons passé 2 jours très agréables ! L'appartement est situé en plein cœur du sasso Caveoso, ce qui en fait un point de départ idéal pour visiter Matera. Merci Roberto !

Eine traumhafte Wohnung mitten in der Sassi mit einer tollen Terrasse. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet, alles vorhanden was man braucht . Der Vermieter Roberto super freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Tolle Tipps für Unternehmungen und Restaurants. Besser geht nicht.

Roberto è un host davvero gentile, disponibile e premuroso, ci ha dato numerosi e validi suggerimenti sui luoghi da visitare e non. La casa è situata nel cuore del sasso caveoso, posizione ottima per esplorare Matera. Deliziosi ambienti pulitissimi dotati di tutto il necessario, con affaccio suggestivo sulla Chiesa Santa Maria de Idris. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo, ci ritorneremo sicuramente!
