Tiny missing amenities for longer staying. A soap plate for shower. Nothing that we couldnt solve ourselves.

Comfortable, clean and well located.

The apartment is located right in the centre of Matera, it's spacious and has the right facilities for a comfortable short stay. We stayed for 3 nights. It's on route to other attractions in Matera so the outside is busy during the day but quiet during the night so the sleep comfort is great. Bed and pillows are very comfy. The apartment is in a old cave house but can be heated up to a nice toasty temperature if the weather is not great outside. Roberto, the host, is excellent, and replies to messages very quickly. Free on street parking nearby. Would definitely stay again.

Roberto, the host, is extraordinarilly kind, warm and helpful man. We enjoyed every meeting and correspondence with him.

Roberto, the host, was awesome and accommodating. He helped us find free parking and gave us a lot of good information. The location of the apartment is fantastic. Easy to walk the city with great views of the Sassi.

We liked everything. As a heads up for people. The apartment is in the Sassi and the plumbing is delicate. As in most of Italy, do not put anything other then toilet paper in the toilet. Also, if you are a person who wants AC, there is no AC in the apartment. Which is fine for us but I know there are folks out there adamant about AC.

The owner, Roberto, is a really helpful host. He met us when we arrived and helped us get our suitcases down the stone walkways and steps to the apartment. He helped us like this when we departed, too. There are a lot of steps! Pack light if you can!!! you will have to literally carry your suitcases because they cannot roll on the stones through the Sassi. Also of note: the apartment is well supplied with dishes and sundries, like you would expect in a hotel, but the linens on the bed are really exceptional. Ironed (pressed) and pristine. It enhances the experience, to me!

Not a complaint but a suggestion to other travelers; the BnB is smack dab in the middle of an active tourist attraction. This is a fantastic location but if you are there in a season when you will keep the windows open for cooler air, as we were, there will be loud voices and noises very close to you; it will seem as if they are in the house with you. I solved the problem at night by wearing earplugs to bed. I was fine after that! Also, if the windows and doors are closed, you won’t hear anything! They are really great! Also if you have an eye mask, you might want it for the early morning hours if you keep the windows open. #mytwocents
