La Cartapesta

We just finished a one month stay at this charming, comfortable and centrally located home in Lecce. We couldn’t have imagined a better place or a better experience. The home is well loved, fully equipped with wonderful cooking tools to take advantage of the local markets and shops. The beds and linens are comfortable and accommodated up to four people during our stay. The rooftop was a delight to spend mornings sipping coffee or evenings sipping wine. The property sits just off a central plaza, but it is well buffered from most street noise. Mario, the property owner, is attentive to guests’ needs and discreet when he needs to stop by to care for plants and other household projects. If we ever come back to Lecce, this is the place I would stay time and again.

The apartment is a delightfully curated oasis of carefully selected pieces of art and furniture matching the genius loci. However amazing the interiors are, you'll probably spend most of the time on the roof terrace with the views on the nearby bell tower and surrounding houses. The location just off the square with several restaurants makes it a perfect starting point for discovering Lecce. It's one of the best value/price stays we had.

Appartement très confortable et calme. Emplacement exceptionnel, tout est à proximité. La gare est à 6mm à pied.

uns hat die Unterkunft sehr gut gefallen. Die Lage ist unschlagbar, mitten in der Stadt und trotzdem kann man eine sehr ruhige, private Dachterasse genießen. Der Kontakt zu dem Vermieter war sehr freundlich und bei kleineren technischen Problemen wurde uns schnell geholfen.

La casa è bellissima e in un ottima posizione.

Le lenzuola e gli asciugamani non sono incluse nel prezzo, e per due giorni è stato un sovraprezzo che non avevo considerato

If you wish to stay in a real Italian home, you need to come to La Cartapesta! This place was beyond our wildest expectations and provided exceptional comfort, class and uniqueness in every aspect we could think of! Incredibly designed and decorated (to the smallest details), full of unexpected hidden treasures (the terrace and its access!), with every single tool/device/feature that one might need in the moment (coffee makers, cooker, dishes, cutlery, lamps, books, bikes, TV, excellent WiFi and toiletries and everything else), this home made our stay in Lecce just an unforgettable experience. Oblivious to the fact there was a huge festival happening during our stay, we enjoyed it to the fullest, because the home is just at the exact HEART of the old town. Everything is at arm's length or even closer, so we couldn't be more happy. We loved the kitchen, the internal balcony, the stairs and antresolas, the terrace that made me feel l actually had access to Animus and went to Ezzio Auditore time! 🤪). And everything there is just as modern as it is rustic (the gramophone!) and simply adorable. Here, for a couple of days we felt we lived like an Italian family. It was simply incredible!
