Otranto perla d'Oriente

Der Vermieter "Guiseppe" war sehr freundlich und immer ansprechbar; lecker Wein gab's gratis dazu. Großes Apartment mit riesigen Balkon am nördlichen Rand vom Zentrum. Was sowohl fürs Parken als auch für Unternehmungen super war.

Tutto mi è piaciuto a cominciare dall'Host che è davvero un esempio per chi fa quel mestiere: accogliente, disponibile, paziente. La struttura è ampia, raffinata ed è ubicata a prossimità del mare a pochi passi del centro di Otranto, vera perla per un soggiorno con la famiglia.

È la vacanza perfetta. Tutto incastonato in una posizione fantastica , balcone fronte mare, raggiungibile la spiaggia a 100 metri . Mare cristallino e città pulita e accogliente. Giuseppe il proprietario , una persona disponibilissima e generosa. Ci ritorneremo di sicuro!!!

Giuseppe was a fantastic host! The property is well located and a 5 minute walk to the nearest beach. The property is spacious and the large balcony was fantastic.

The position was convenient for walking into town. Nice view from the terrace. Kitchen very well stocked. Washing machine in apartment. No shortage of hot water. Food store within walking distance. Convenient spot for traveling around Salento. All in all a pleasant experience.

For those who have mobility problems, remember this apartment requires climbing 2 flights of stairs.

The views of the sea from both inside the apartment and on the wraparound terrace. Seeing the sun rise over the Adriatic from the bedroom. A cosy feeling in the apartment - we felt very much at home. It's within a few minutes walk of downtown Otranto and its unique cathedral and castle.

Maybe a chopping board and another tea-towel or two.

Excellent location, beautiful view of the sea, big balcony and great BBQ. Host was excellent and professional!

The cleanliness could improve, it smelt a bit musty in the apartment. The bed and sofa were a bit uncomfortable

Peaceful and quiet location that allowed us to relax and chill out. Apartment well equipped and very spacious. Beautiful big terrace with fabulous views. Ability to bbq (gas bbq) on the terrace was something we enjoyed - meat from the butcher in the Dok supermarket was very good. Fantastic location in walking distance to lovely beaches and charming coves. A 10 minute walk into the beautiful old town of Otranto with it restaurants and cafes. Nearest cafe is a 3 minute walk with fabulous sea views. Host was very helpful and responsive.

If u want to travel further afield you need a car as public transport from Otranto to visit other coastal towns is non existent in mid September. However we enjoyed the many delights of otranto itself - hired bikes and toured the local coast (bb bikes very good electric bikes and very reasonable), did local walks north and south of the town, took many swims (found the picture perfect cute cove of spiaggia di Rinule) and strolled into the old town. Nearby dog barked a bit at times.
