The view...the view! It felt like we had the best view in Matera from the terrace - one of the few terraces not overlooked by other terraces. It was very close to the gorge walk and all the main attractions. Did I mention the view? THe shower had excellent pressure. While the place is a little hard to find, the video instructions were excellent.

We agree with many of the small shortcomings mentioned by others, e.g. the mezzanine bedroom is a little cramped and not suited to those with mobility concerns. But for our circumstances these were trivial things and we think this place is a gem - this place is the most memorable of our trip to southern Italy.

Spacious with a patio and magnificent view. Well equipped kitchen. A word of warning though. Matera is very steep so travel light because it all has to be dragged up treacherous cobbled steps. And if you are brave enough to try and drive in Matera avoid rush hour . It's a nightmare.

We would have liked somewhere comfortable to sit (a couch or something). The shower head needs replacing.
