I didn’t have internet connection from the second day here. I texted the host about that but he just replied in the next day saying “ I don’t know”. And the ventilation was bad. You can not get the fresh air.

the accommodation is located in a Limited traffic Zone, (ZTL) so it's difficult to access by car Specify if you need to use the sofa bed in the living room/ kitchen area as bedding are available only on request

The apartment was dirty and there was that bad smell , no air in the rooms because the only way to have the fresh air is to open the front door. The sheets were covered with hair and were dirty, I called the owner and she sent the cleaning lady to change them. But the whole place was dirty and the floor was covered with hair and dust. The WC and bathroom were covered with spots and stains. The owner suggested to send again the cleaning lady but when you go to the place you had paid for a clean apartment, not the apartment to be cleaned after you came!!!

The property is extremely well located, 30sec from the Cathedral! The host is very kind and helpful! The place has everything you need for your stay and was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!

It doesn't get more central than this. The host is doing a fine job to offer guests a fantastic starting point to explore the city. Comfortable beds and fully equipped to a nice standard.

Palermo in general - apart from the gorgeous cathedral, it lacks proper maintenance as a city and has, generally, very rundown appearance and is extremely dirty. Once you step out of the tourist bubble, locals become somewhat unfriendly towards foreigners and/or tourists and the environment feels, honestly, quite unsafe. Traffic is insane, unlike Catania, Taormina or elsewhere on the island. Drivers are extremely uncourteous to other drivers and pedestrians alike.

Location was great, about 50m for the cathedral, down a lovely street. Close to cafes and restaurants. I nice part of Palermo. It is decorated with lovely traditional Sicilian decor. The bed is comfy. Includes just about everything you need, but note - no washing machine.

My only comment would be the bathroom. The shower is in the bath, which is fine, but the water drains very slowly, and the water backing up is not pleasant. I understand this is a very old part of town and the pipes would be very old. Also, there is mould around the bath. But this is all. The rest of the apartment is very lovely with Sicilian touches.

As of July 2024: There is an EXTREMELY LOUD construction directly above the apartment, which was torturous and unbearable! All hammering and drilling DIRECTLY ABOVE THE BEDROOM starts at 7:30 in the morning and does NOT stop until 6:00 in the evening! Even though you are on vacation, you will NOT be able to sleep in in the morning, take a nap during the day, or just relax in the room. To make things worse, my little daughter was very scared of the loud construction noise and was constantly covering her ears and hiding! When I asked the owner why this information was NOT disclosed in the description, he completely IGNORED me and instead started talking to my husband about places to see in Palermo… The smell of the room fragrance was so INTENSE and TOXIC that it gave us a very bad headache. When we found the source of the smell and unplugged it, it was too late and didn’t make a difference. When we returned home, we washed all of our clothes immediately, but the toxic smell was still present… For parents with little children: please note, If you need a crib, they charge you 15 euros per night. They gave me a “discount” and charged me 20 euros. I have traveled a lot, but was never charged for a crib before. The apartment itself is small, cute, and centrally located. It is lovely decorated in both- Sicilian and Shabby chic styles. There was a bottle of water in the refrigerator when we arrived.

Room needs some ventilation

It was in the perfect place to visit the city. Quiet street but still central.

Great location! The landmarks and restaurants/bars were only 5 mins away. The host was very responsive and quite helpful.
