Villa Lilia

I was initially hesitant to choose Vietri sul Mare as a base to explore the Amalfi Coast, but staying at Villa Lilia turned out to be an excellent decision. The property is impeccably maintained by a passionate and welcoming host. She was always quick to respond and full of helpful recommendations for local highlights and Amalfi Coast tours. The villa itself is well-equipped, sparkling clean, and offers stunning views from the bedroom, dining area, and living room. It provided both comfort and charm, making our stay restful and memorable. Another big plus is the location—just 5 minutes from the A3 highway, making it easy to drive to Amalfi and Ravello in under an hour. For Positano, taking the ferry from nearby Salerno is a great way to avoid the narrow roads and countless hairpin turns. I'm truly glad we made this choice. Villa Lilia offers the perfect balance of convenience, tranquility, and beauty.

The apartment sits under the owners house but feels independent and has the most amazing veranda with views across Vietri. The amazing pool is about 10m away and we were lucky to have almost exclusive use of it during our stay

There isn’t much to dislike, but the 20 minute walk into town felt a bit ‘risky’ in parts as there are no paths and lots of blind bends! We only did it once, driving in felt much safer!

We had a fantastic week in Vila Lilia. The very hospitable Teresa has 2 clean apartments in a unique location. She lives above one of the apartments. The swimming pool is lovely and has a phenomenal view. The apartments are well equipped and you will not miss anything and cooking yourself is therefore no problem. Teresa provides you with many useful tips every day. The villages around this location are beautiful and perhaps even more beautiful than the overcrowded Amalfi or Positano. We will definitely come back again.

Very welcoming and supportive. Good advice on local shops, places to eat and etc. Beautiful living space and very well looked after surrounding gardens. Wonderful, unobstructed view from the pool area towards the downtown and the sea.

There is a bit of noise coming from the road below.

The view and location is amazing. The property is beautifully designed and was utterly stunning. The bed was extremely comfortable. We walked each day into Vietri for dinners or to catch the boat to Positano and Amalfi. The road we walked on can be a bit tricky with traffic but we handled it ok. Teresa kindly gave us a local taxi firm to use if we didn’t want to walk, but we walked all the time. Teresa recommended local restaurants that were great plus shared with us links to grocery store and parking in town. She is a fabulous host. We will be back.

Beautiful property opened and airy, clean and private excellent location for Amalfi coast, Close to everything….. Teresa hed lots of recommend, and was very helpful and kind..

Very clean & comfortable and very well equipped. Lovely views over Vietri. Teresa is a very welcoming host and is always available if needed. The Villa is in a great location for hiking and also a 20 minute walk down the hill into Vietri centre.

The accommodation was very spacious and relaxing, well equipped for everything we needed. The pool area and the outside space was really lovely. Teresa was a great host, helpful with any queries we had and gave lots of recommendations as needed

There was nothing that we didn’t like, however the pool area was fully in the shade in the afternoon so it did limit some sunbathing time, but during the heat, the shade was a nice relief

The location was amazing!! I enjoyed it and liked it a lot. The apartment is comfortable, spacious and clean. The garden is beautiful and the pool with the view over Vietri sul Mare is unique. Teresa and Fabrizio were so friendly and welcomed me very warmly. I had the feeling I know them already for a long time. I had regrets being there only five nights and I would anytime come back there again.

I liked everything

We stayed at Villa Lilia for 3 nights at the beginning of September 2024. Everything was excellent. Our apartment, located on the ground floor of a large family villa, was elegantly furnished, clean and had everything we needed. It is just like in the photos. The view from the apartment terrace and from the swimming pool area is spectacular. The owner, Teresa, is very nice and kind and helpful. We arrived late at the villa, around 7:00 pm. She waited for us and let us into the apartment. She lives at the villa with her family on the floors above the apartment, but the whole family is very respectful of the guests’ privacy. Having Teresa right there was a plus as she was promptly available and responsive if we needed anything. For example, as we arrived late, the first night she gave us free milk and coffee for the next morning. We had a nice chat when we bumped into each other in and out of the villa; she is a very interesting person. The location is spectacular but a good 20-30 min walk into the center of Vietri. However, if you have a car it is easy to drive to Vietri station, park at the train station; from there, there is an elevator that drops you right in the center of Vietri. Very convenient. You can also take a bus to town and the bus stop is very close to the villa. We walked from the Villa to Marina di VIetri (20 min downhill and stairs), where we caught the boat to Amalfi and Positano. The beach is right there too.
