San Giovanni In Poggio

Absolutely amazing place – even better than in the photos! The location is stunning, surrounded by breathtaking views in every direction. The apartment was spacious, spotless, and very well equipped. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, giving us great tips on what to do in the area, where to eat, and which places are worth visiting. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay in Tuscany!

The property was fantastic in the middle of Tuscany in a very quiet location at the end of a 3 km dust road but still 20 minutes away from Sienna . We are always keen to find locations where we can’t hear any human activity noise to connect with nature - this one was absolutely fantastic . The kids also loved the swimming pool. The staff was very helpful and responsive.

To be honest, we don’t have anything that we didn’t like about the property.

The accommodation was absolutely amazing - a very quiet Tuscan hillside not too far from Siena. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and I just wish we could have stayed longer! It served as a good base for us to venture out to see Tuscan towns and cities on day trips

Everything was perfect! If you are looking for a time out, then the accomodation is ideal.

Nothing maybe the scene

I checked into this hotel on May 1st, 2024, checked out on the morning of May 3rd, spent two nights in this hotel, and I am writing this letter of complaint because I feel that I had a very, very bad experience at this hotel. First of all, the shower in the hotel is broken. The price I booked for this hotel is 1,700 RMB, about 213 euros per night, but the shower in their house is broken, which makes us uncomfortable when we take a bath. Second, there was a very loud noise on the night we checked in, which lasted until 1am, and we couldn't sleep. After we communicated with the landlord, the landlord said that he could not help us, and he could not arrive at the scene to deal with the matter. Even so, the next morning he offered us no compensation or consolation. It made us feel helpless, as if we were not in a hotel, but in an unmanaged place, and we were left to deal with anything that happened. Thirdly, prior to check-in, the landlord asked us via WhatsApp if we wanted bread the next day, but he didn't mention that there was a fee! He just asked us if we wanted bread. We answered the need because we thought it was something he had generously offered us, and it didn't cost anything. It wasn't until we checked out that he told us there was a charge for bread that we were shocked. I told him that I had not been told that bread was charged, and he replied that it was mentioned on the booking page that breakfast was not provided, for god sake , who will check the booking page after check in? and because the host asked us whether we needed bread through Whatsapp, He also didn't confirm with us on it that bread is charged, so I think it's unfair. On the issue of communication, he has always emphasized that for him, the information is very clear, but for for us, the information is NOT CLEAR AT ALL！！ and we feel very sudden when we are charged! by the way, his bread could only be served after 9.

You can also enjoy the sauna and hot tub; I highly recommend booking both for late afternoon sessions, allowing you to marvel at the sunset. The incredibly pleasant staff is willing to do practically anything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I'll definitely be returning to San Giovanni in Poggio in the future.
