AUIt was very spacious for a family of 4. The owner made sure she would see us when we arrived so that she could explain the essential to us. The house was neat and clean with floor heating in a local neighbourhood. The highlight of our stay was the local sento (public bath) located 50 steps away. Location was superb with plenty of supermarkets and convenience stores nearby. Nijo castle was 20 minutes walk away and we could easily take a city bus to Kyoto CBD. The kids loved to chill in the house instead of going out!
Since the house was located in a local area, the streets surrounding the house were a bit too narrow compared to Australia. Drivers need to pay extra attention to the pedestrians and bicyclists.
SGSGIt's a cosy and comfortable modern Japanese house. Well equipped and love the heated flooring in living and dining area. Washing and drying the clothes is also a breeze. The house is clean and exactly like what u see on the pictures.
SGStayed 2 nights, family of 5, kids aged 14, 12 and 9. Transport :Rental Car - convenience stores nearby, there is a daiso within 5 to 7 min walking distance (opening hours 930am to 8pm) And a supermarket (Life) open till 9pm And a drug store selling medications and light snacks (got our heat packs from there). Free parking for first 30 minutes if you buy from the store ( get a QR coded coupon from the cashier) 20 minutes drive from Teramachi, where we had fun shopping and eating. Was so pampered with various options. WiFi works well. All facilities eg air con, washing machine, and bath tub with auto water fill in - working well Washing machine doesn't have drying, the bathroom dryer was effective - left it on timer and in a few hours full load of clothes are dry. Dishwasher available and saves time. Very thoughtful of owner in multiple aspects and house clean and appears newly renovated. Staff very friendly and approachable, could speak a little English. We messaged her via booking.com 30 minutes before our estimated arrival time so we could meet her smoothly. She was punctual and took time to explain the house facilities for us.
Roads leading to house rather narrow, drive carefully. Would definitely use this apartment again if in Kyoto. Perhaps with a smaller car.

AELots of space, nice clean interiors. Modern applicances. Quite easy to get around with public transport. Quiet neighbourhood, nice change from crowded Tokyo.
Bed and pillows could be improved- more pillows would be nice.
SIGreat house for families in quiet residential area but all areas of interest easily accessible by bus. Supermarket and some restaurants are close. Friendly owner.
