滔々 御崎 町家の宿 toutou Onzaki Machiya no Yado

Le design de la maison est tout simplement impeccable, dans le pur style japonais mais avec une touche de modernité. Le micro jardin est très relaxant, surtout par temps de pluie. Bonne sélection de CD de jazz à écouter après une journée bien remplie.

Le lieu possède des signes lumineux qui indiquent la sortie, dont un devant la chambre. De nuit il produit beaucoup de lumière, même avec la porte fermée. Autrement, rien à redire.

Our stay in Kurashiki in this Japanese home was delightful. The home itself was sparkling clean and beautifully appointed and it's just over a block from the canal. The host was lovely and was kind enough to make dinner reservations on our behalf. I recommend this welcoming and lovely home.

Beautiful restored machiya that is located near the old quarter. Staff were very lovely and helpful. Bathing facilities were very enjoyable. We appreciated being able to wash our clothes and cook dinner with the kitchen. The garden view was lovely and it was a very cool experience to stay!

Because it’s an old building it’s not very soundproof so you can hear the neighbours and people outside but it’s located in a quiet street so not a huge deal. Also it’s easy to hit your head in the bedroom if you’re a bit tall.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at toutou Onzaki Machiya no Yado! The townhouse was aesthetically pleasing and well-appointed. It was a short walking distance from the historic district, but very quiet. We appreciated the breakfast treats the host left, as well as all the local resources & guides provided in an extensive guest book. The host also went above and beyond to help us make a reservation at a local restaurant, even taking into account food allergies. We also appreciated the CD/record player and selection of jazz music, which made for a cozy evening.

The emergency exit sign glowed quite brightly green through the bedroom door, which was somewhat disruptive to sleep. I appreciate that they probably need to have this for safety, but I wish it could have been slightly dimmed. We also really appreciated having a washing machine / dryer at this point of our trip, but the dryer never really succeeded in fully drying our clothing.

The property surpassed all of our expectations. It was comfortable, clean and perfectly located.

Amazing place with an incredible design sensibility. Curated to the smallest of details and extremely beautiful. We'd love to go back!

This house was stunning. It felt like another world away - a very incredible experience. The dining room, kitchen and bathroom were major highlights. I couldn't recommend this enough to people wanting to stay in the heart of the town in a truly beautiful home. The staff were also very kind and super helpful on arrival. Thank you so much!
