Apartment in Taormina

Beautiful, spacious and clean in a perfect location

Unfortunately there were tiles being cut right outside our apartment so it certainly wasn’t a peaceful stay .

The view was magnificent and the pool was extraordinary. We really enjoyed the outdoor patio. There was a lot of space for our family of 5. The apartment is very close to the local market and the very popular area of town with many shops and restaurants. It is a 7 minute walk to the funicular to get to the beaches and 7 minutes to the ancient geek amphitheater. There are many steps to get in and out of the complex!

The oven didn’t work which was very inconvenient (one of our children has multiple allergies and we wanted to make pizza for him but couldn’t), the air conditioning in the living room didn’t work, it was fixed as soon as we let Emanuele know, but it stopped working again, so we simply open the doors and let the breeze through during the day. The dishes and cutlery were dirty and needed to be washed before using. Also, there was no dish soap or tea towel which we has to purchase the day after we arrived.

We had a WONDERFUL time in the condominium. The (a) location was fabulous (a quick walk upstairs to the main shopping and sightseeing street called Cirso Umberto), the (b) terrace with view was spectacular (incredible views over the pool and the coastline!)! the (c) pool was fun and refreshing and a good temperature, and the (d) air conditioning in all of the rooms worked very well and kept us very comfortable! (e) lots of space in the apartment and so appreciated the 3rd bed in the 2nd bedroom so out the kids could be in the same room! Also Nice to have washing machine with drying rack on the terrace; generous and helpful that they provided laundry detergent! Ksenia and Emanuele provided exceptional customer service and we appreciate them both very much! I Ksenia was super accommodating with our arrival time. We stopped along the way to Taormina and delayed our arrival; she was flexible and willing to let us come later than planned and was helpful and friendly and welcoming.

Nothing major but could have used more lights in the kitchen, and some updates in the furniture and bedding.

The location was good and the view was lovely.

The apartment decoration was tired and there was a lot of building noise during our stay. The toilets at the pool were being worked on so weren’t available. The beds in the 2nd bedroom are very small- probably only suitable for children ( not teenagers).

Great location for seeing the sites of Taormina. Perfect parking spot if required. The hosts were also very lovely and helpful.

It would be nice to have some basic inclusions such as bath soaps and some coffee capsules that would fit the machine provided. Otherwise all good.

The apartment is spacious with a great big terrace, incredible views and easy access to the pool. The communal space is well maintained. The kitchen is a good space for making and cooking food. There are 2 full bathrooms. Ksenia was so helpful and could not fault her communication.

There was no indication when booking that there would be loud drilling and repairs on the toilet block directly outside our terrace by the pool. The second bedroom is 2 short single beds and no window. The kitchen had no kitchen roll, tea towels, washing up liquid so be prepared with a supermarket trip. We had help to book a taxi from the garage to a restaurant- it was an 8 minute drive/ 4.3km each way and we were charged €50 return which was a shock. My Dad is 80 and coped ok with the stairs but less able people might struggle.

Fantastic view and location.

Apartment was dated and housekeeping below standard expected. This is supposed to be a self catering apartment but there were insuffient kitchen facilities, even to washup or wipe down surfaces. The shower in the family bathroom was very small and in poor condition. The single 4ft 6in beds were suitable for children but not adults and a lack of proper bedding unsatisfactory. The plug in the basin didn't seal, one of the dining chairs had a broken leg and the front door handle came off. The patio furniture had not been cleaned or dried after the rain a few days earlier.

location and view

very tired, mould on the verandah, kitchen utensils were ? missing. Showering the slippery bath, no overhead handle. you had to be very fit to make it up the numerous stairs to the street. no lift to the street level.
