Spacious with good facilities. In a good location.

Toilet on different level to sleeping down some steep stairs.

・ふかふかのお布団。 （１歳の娘がいたので、畳のお部屋があるのは良かった。） ・オーナーさまとの連絡はとても迅速でだったので、不安なく利用できた事。

・階段がとても急である事の記載がなかった事。 （その他にも部屋の詳細など、もう少し細かく記載が必要であると感じた) ・洗濯乾燥機のお手入れが届いていない。(洗うと汚れが着いて反対に汚くなってしまったように感じる程だった) ・玄関の鍵の開け閉めが分からなくて困った事。（昔ながらのお家を知らない人は絶対に分からないと思うので、せめて教えていただけたら良かったなと感じた)

Great location, walkable to the temple and key sites. A bit of a taste of what an older house would have been like.

For the money it felt very basic. It felt a little patched up to be something it wasn't. Not a very comfortable stay..

This house was fantastic and very charming. We regret not staying in Nagano longer to enjoy this house. It was a little older, but for Japan it was incredibly spacious, and it was storied and charming. We loved every minute of this stay and will absolutely book again when we come back to Nagano.

The house is quite old so some rooms like the bathroom can get quite cold overnight, but otherwise no issues that wouldn't be expected from a house of this age.

Charming old house, comfortable beds and furniture. Easy access to the shops and temple. Great onsen nearby.

Dining area was kind of dark but it didn’t matter, we loved the huge table and kitchen.

Great property with plenty of space and a lovely traditional Japanese home aesthetic; it felt like a homestay. Host provided ample heating and gave clear instructions/details about how everything worked (e.g. heaters, washing machine). Communication with the host was easy through Booking.com message tool and the host was waiting for us at our agreed arrival time. Place was comfortable and we appreciated the washing machine (also doubles as a tumble dryer) and that liquid laundry detergent was also provided. The location is easily accessible by bus from Nagano Station and there are ample restaurants and convenience stores in the vicinity. Zenko-ji Temple was a stone's throw away and was a magnificent attraction to visit.

Although this did not affect us during our stay, the steep steps (up to the bedroom) can be a problem for guests with mobility issues and/or would like to bring their suitcases up to the second floor (we left ours in the dining room). There was also a high step from the entryway/genkan to the actual house, which may be a challenge for those with mobility issues and/or heavy suitcases. There was a step ladder available for use.

Everything was very cosy, but at the same time, the house was very spacious. There were only two of us, but it could easily house a family of 6. The wifi was the fastest out of anywhere I've been in Japan. The neighbourhood was quiet, but also lively when work and school were finished.
