DOT HOUSE NAGANO Traditional Japanese house - Vacation STAY 82102

Everything was very cosy, but at the same time, the house was very spacious. There were only two of us, but it could easily house a family of 6. The wifi was the fastest out of anywhere I've been in Japan. The neighbourhood was quiet, but also lively when work and school were finished.

The heating was 4 gas heaters running together (as it was cold) in an unventilated house, danger of carbon monoxide gas buildup while sleeping....dangerous

It was beautiful and traditional

It was a perfect location, having some privacy from main streets but very short walk to anything we might want to see! Host was very communicative, kind, informative and fair. He offered great recommendations for local places to see and eat!

I would not say this is something I didn’t like, but I would just say to keep in mind that the house is not built for tall people. My group was all 5’7” - 6’1” and we bumped our heads a few times on low doorways and the stairs were very steep! It was very traditional and added to the experience, I would just say to keep it in mind.
