"Lovely traditional type homestay"

House was compact but roomy, bedrooms large, in traditional style but modern facilities including washing machine. The house was tucked in a quiet residential area but very close to main street, public transport, temple, places to eat. Host was extremely helpful as we were to meet at house and get keys but, our address directions sent us elsewhere and he came to find us when we rang. We were able to get any information we needed in person and given recommendations of places to visit.

"lovely traditional house"

Great location. Very close to Zenko-ji Temple, and quite neighborhood. Host was very accommodating with check-in time. Cute traditional Japanese stay vibe and comfortable tatami bedding. Clean bathroom and lots of common space. Recommend this place for a unique experience. Would have loved to stay for a couple more nights.

The house is not well insulated so any room (toilet, kitchen) without a heater is cold. The heater accidentally turned itself off to "01" though in the middle of the night so we work up cold, but we were able to restart it to use it normally. If you want to store very big luggages after check-out, hotel might be better because this place cannot hold luggages and Nagano station coin lockers are quite busy.
