It was great having a whole house to stay at in the countryside near Lake Biwa. The owner is very friendly and helpful. It‘s an old house that has been refurbished and nicely decorated. It‘s super cosy with a kotatsu, lots of rugs and the futons are very comfortable. It‘s in a quiet neighbourhood so you can have a good night‘s sleep. The nearest restaurants are in a beautiful samurai town, about 3km away. The bathroom and toilet are modern and everything is very clean. I would like to stay again!

The owner picked us up from the station and even drove us to a supermarket to get some food, as the house is in a residential area, without restaurants or convenience stores nearby. The house is very nice! It’s an old house, but renovated. If you are tall, mind the low doors. The house is not in the city center, but you can go around by the bicycles the owner rents for free.

Not really anything, but there could have been some basic cooking seasoning such as soy sauce in the kitchen.

Hiroshi the owner, and Yasu went above and beyond to make our quick stay enjoyable. This countryside home is very relaxing and met all of my expectations. Biking to the lake was unforgettable. It was the traditional experience we hoped for and was cozy and wonderful. We felt like very welcome guests at this amazing guest home! We will be back!

The futons were very confortable and the house is beautiful. The hosts gave us really good recommandations during check-in.

Best experience ever!! The host is super nice and prepared a lot of hand draw tourist information for guest. Everything is better than expected!

Hiroshi was a great host. He picked us up from the station and also took us to the grocery store. He was very friendly and his English is great! The house is a traditional Japanese house in the country, with bikes available. We biked 10 km to the National park, it was great. The shower/bath is renovated, and the kitchen has everything necessary to cook in. We had a great escape from city life! Thank you!
