It was so peaceful, spacious, and wonderful service.

I absolutely loved this place, and I will never stay anywhere else in Kyoto. The hosts and property were beyond exceptional, it was Heaven on Earth. This stay made it the best part of our trip, hands down.

What's not to like? Hotori is a crown jewel, and I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a magical experience.

The hosts are very professional and super nice ladies. Apart from providing full-fledge daily amenities, fruits, tea, and comfort of the villa, they also recommended amazing dining options. They have great patience and always carry warm smiles. They went extra miles to help me buy fever medicine for my daugter as she felt sick on the day of our check-out. Awesome job and very recommended.

The traffice noise in one of the rooms was our slight concern, but it was much improved as the hosts helped us shift inside to the tatami room.

We travel quite a bit and have stayed in dozens of accommodations. Each had their charm, pros and cons. But if I had to pick a favorite, Hotori would be it. The home is so inviting, well decorated and impeccably maintained. It's truly one of those instances where I can safely say that the online pictures don't do it justice. The property looks even better in person. So much thought went into every corner of the house. Our group loved it so much we extended our stay. The breakfast was great, the location was excellent and easily accessible by public transit, and their entire staff was extremely friendly and prompt. They went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed, always responded to our inquiries super fast, and even helped our group recover a wallet we had lost during our commute from Kyoto station to the home. Hotori was the highlight of our visit to Kyoto. A beautiful property with the friendliest team running it. We hope to be back here soon.
